Personally, I don't think the Monster World arc was boring—just a bit too long, to be honest. Or maybe it's more accurate to say that some parts dragged on longer than they needed to. Is that what they call pacing issues?

Also, WW was totally cockblocking us with the return to Earth, constantly teasing something big happening there. So, when certain sections felt too drawn out, my mind kept wandering back to Earth. But then, whenever something interesting started happening again, I immediately forgot all about it, lmao.

The problem was that the earth was more hyped than the monster world, at least in the entire arc I kept wanting to go back and see what was going on earth.

I feel like the whole thing will be far more palatable when playing it as a complete product without months of wait between, especially if it's the last time the friend group gets to all be together, relax, party, etc.

I loved the whole arc, if anyone remembers the Bone comic by Jeff Smith, it reminded me of the Ghost Circles volume in the absolute best way. At a certain point the length and exhaustion is part of the story that wouldn't work so well if it was much shorter or montage'd.

1. Can anyone point me to more hidden gems that are of the same level of writing as this. Of course I have played Artemis, LoF, BaD, Once a life time, Being A Rockstar, Bare Witness, Harem Hotel, The house in the rift, Ripples,... and some other popular games.
IMO, Hero Party Must Fall is another "hidden gem" in that its another game like Superhuman that people skip over a lot because it looks super tropey with the tanned blonde NTRman, the minigames are wack and often not even implimented, etc.

But, like Superhuman, the art skyrockets halfway, and it features some of the most complicated characters I've seen on this site, its more like an incredibly dramatic, at times disturbing psychodrama with a whole world of lore/backstory/worldbuilding etc.

Fair warning that it gets reeeeeaaaaaal fucked up, but IMo the writing and characters are way worth it. And it's got surprisingly great romances too, if you don't mind cucking some poor bastard into complete madness, that is.

the biggest long term decision factors are centered around: power/skill/corruption stats, whether you kill specific characters, what relationship you try to go for for a character (mostly self contained, hooking up with character A isn't going to cause them to die in character B's side story), and (most importantly) if demi is a boy or a girl. Going left or right I think might have long term effects, but I can't remember if it's anything outside of flavor (or maybe future stuff). Aside from that, choices have pretty immediate consequences (running vs. fighting, trusting instinct vs. trying to calculate, etc).
ok thanks, can you tell me if in theory you can romance all the girls, or do i need to decide for 1

Problem is the eugenics program was created before the knowledge of a monster invasion, the gods etc. They didn't even know the monster tide currently happening was actually a thing, even with precognition and clairvoyance, they were in the dark about it as evident by their surprise during the initial stages of the invasion. So in essence, they literally intended for the extinction of humankind since the early founding, the program sterilizes humans without superhuman compatibility. It feels like a huge oversight in the narrative. What the hell kinda scientists and world leaders think genocide & extinction of their species is the best future? Likely the author will fix that by making sterility curable or something.
I don't know what difference it makes whether they knew about the monster invasion or not. They're trying to cut down on the number of humans who turn into monsters.
H.E.R.O. isn't full of retards, so presumably the sterilisation of incompatible humans was done in stages to allow the population to recover, rather than all at once. That probably would have been a bit too suspicious anyway.

Just found it. Played full current version. Gotta say. Valravn encounter is peak epic. Other fights after him feels kinda overloaded. Only missions with Nico's participation catching up close. Mb that scene where MC was captured, also. Last, Monster world arc indeed feels dragged a bit.

Nevertheless 5/5, quite an adventure AVN. I'm pleased, will follow and wait for continue.

Came here from Parasite Black. How long is current gameplay? Played it a few months back but never got past the first bad ending when I had to fight some multiarm mutation in a bar or something. Any tips?

You kind of don't speed through this dialogue, as it's good, and i would dare say that 1k lines of dialogue takes around 1h. I have around 97k read, and as the latest update, it has around ~102k lines of dialogue. At minimum 75h, and I would say around actually +85h.

I didn't get around to playing this update or the last one until this weekend, and now there's something I absolutely have to know.

Someone please give me a serious answer, this is going to bother me until I'm certain.
Yes its a typo. There are a few scattered throughout the game. WW usually does a typo squashing run every couple of updates. You can notify in the discord but i think its already been mentioned.

I kind of always do except if its really good but find most games have way too long dialogues when I simply just wanna play. But seems like there is a lot to do then. The game must be close to be finished I assume?

This isn't a game you play just for the scenes. I am willing to bet that at least 95% of people here play for the actual plot and story.

Ah, Parasite Black. Good VN with potential but i wish development was quicker. The plot moved like only a couple of inches after several years.

I just started this VN and it took me about 4 days to complete Superhuman v0.999 from start to finish, though i was on leave so was clocking in 10-12hr playtime each day. Might take longer for you.
You probably should download the walkthrough/mod. I played the game without it and it has a lot dead ends, skill checks and so on. My 2nd playthrough was a much smoother ride with the WT.

I don't really see where in the game it is shown HERO leaders are surprised by invasion. I'd guess that while they don't know as much as Ella, they clearly know enough. For example their knowledge of monster gods is hinted during the evolution of Tiffany and Michael, where they expected both Apostles to observe the event.
