I'm very surprised you think that. TLS is a junction of so many different aspects, sporting philosophical discussions, well-structured characters, grand scale wars, exploration into the supernatural, gods, demons, and of course, copious amounts of sex, all crammed into a neat and harmonioud package. It's the story of a man's rise from the ashes, consolidating more power through allies, politics, economy, and the eldritch, all in order to bring about a new era of peace for his homeland.I'd agree TLS definitely has some good writing that stood out when I played it, especially in comparison to most porn games, and I admit it was the only other game that came to mind as somewhat comparable in terms of that, but, outside of the intro (which was pretty original), it feels pretty cliched and predictable for the most part. The initial concept is great in it's originality, but it felt pretty bog standard in it's plot progression/execution. I think the main issue I have, is that if you remove the porn aspects, TLS's story has been done to death through various forms of media and, in my eyes, that isn't the case with Superhuman.
Not many stories are as ambitious, and actually manage to deliver on it, as TLS. Hell, it has political segments that somehow don't bog the story down and are actually fun to figure out and weave around, and so far no other piece of media I know of has managed to get me that interested in the blabbering of rulers xD. We have to thank Sierra for being a massive pervert and writing porn instead of being the next George Martin or some shit.
But again, it feels really weird talking about this in Supernatural's thread.
