Patreon is pretty infamous at this point for screwing people over and shutting down their accounts on a whim. They're comedically malicious enough that if you post something on other websites that violate their moral sensibilities, they'll take your entire account down. I'm genuinely surprised the dead-related stuff was let slide. Not-so-coincidentally, WeirdWorld has considered removing the morgue scene and also has expressed a desire to redesign Mia at some point, though the latter might be more for a possible Steam release.

Subscribestar is preferred by a lot of creators since their only rule regarding content is pretty much 'Don't use us to do anything actually felonious', but their long wait times for account approval and Patreon's greater popularity usually means creators restrict themselves to the latter or use both just in case they get screwed over anyway.

Sorry for the likely dumb question incoming, but couldn't a developer theoreticaly post their stuff on Patreon and simply redirect their subscribers to F95 website for the actual file download ?
That way they could give their patreons artwork, access to their discord or whatever other miscelanous rewards, and the actual file they could grab from here.

I suppose it'd a matter of A: if they - or someone who just doesn't like you - can find it, and B: if they can successfully link it back to you. According to emails they've sent to creators who've had their accounts closed for off-site activity, anyone who uses Patreon is subject to their guidelines on and off the site.

Keeping this in mind, disguising content as being produced by a fan account is a possible loophole since they don't hold creators responsible for fan conduct. However, this isn't infallible as if they determine said fan is you under a false name or alternatively that you the creator incited or gave permission to said fan to perform actions that violate their content guidelines they'll also screw you over. The F95 link alone would probably violate their guidelines on accessing piracy software.

I don't think pointing your paying subscribers to a website where your game and all your updates get posted for free is a great business decision. Moving to a different website than Patreon would probably be technically possible, but would definitely come with losing at least some current subscribers. This is assuming WW actually cares about making content that wouldn't fly on Patreon, which may not be the case at all.

That would not be so bad as it's practically already happening with me and many others leaking so much stuff, WW doesn't even care as long as it's not something exclusive for Unknowns that are the highest tier on Patreon

Okay so let's say Cole can get broken abilities as a lesser spawn who evolved far past their monster progenitor. The reason why Cole has such low skill compared to his monster power related abilities, like his ability to sense power and his various heat related abilities, is because of his technique Head Burst. Unless they are regenerative type superhuman, there's no surviving that blow once it lands. While there might be abilities like precognition or teleportation that make dodging a breeze, landing a solid hit on him through all that heat will be hard if they are not significantly more powerful like Nico was. Now that he has his cold abilities that make his enemies unable to move, and Heat Zone, which is even more deadly than Head Burst, and has a longer range, I think he won't apply himself physically. Yes, he lost to the MC, Deryl, and Amber despite having much more power than them, but when he was losing to Deryl and MC he kept screaming something like "I am Level 4, Why am I losing to a bunch of level 3s". The answer what pretty obvious, but he seems like the type to say "...they won because they played dirty tricks and got lucky breaks..." and not actually reflect and analyze why he lost.

As a result, he won't increase his skill level too much or gain combat experience for situations where his power won't insta-kill his foes, I think he will just try harder to make sure he kills them. So basically, he will just work on increasing his power and the potency of his abilities. Which might work to an extent, but I don't think it will really solve the weaknesses or gaps in his combat abilities he has. So, when other superhumans evolve to level 4 while also training their skills to avoid being instantly killed and increasing their odds of survival, I think Cole may start to struggle because he will have a great power but will not be a great combatant.
It’s the same with Danica; her power, “Cross Light,” is so lethal that she ends her fights quickly with just one attack. Because of that, her skill level was just a measly 3 when she fought the MC despite being a Level 2 superhuman at the time.

Then they should just stick to Subscribestar and itch.io. Idk how much smaller those sites are compared to Patreon but developers getting restricted from creating the content they want due to bullshit guidelines is maddening.
Between Subscribestar, itch.io, and possibly other ways for fans to donate, Patreon can't be that big of a money bringer.

It's not Patreon. It's Visa and Mastercard that made that guidelines and Patreon have to comply.
Subscribestar is shady af. Doesn't support Paypal and only accept credit cards.
Itch.io already announced they wanna get rid of all pornography. Don't know if they changed their mind or still haven't acted on it.

It's a complex scenario that keeps changing. There are no easy solution.
