Narratively it's a fun little thing that Zack whose face needs to be covered is suspected to be at risk because of someone named for a part of the face.
It's really quite convenient for the Black Mouth, if you think about it. No need to change Zack's outfit when he gets infected, because he's already wearing something that hides that his skin is covered by telepathic mold.

That was my first thought when I read "vessel", too. I still can't even guess why Ella would want indefinite god avatars walking around, though. Those fuckers are not all that nice. But that would be a big change to the status quo that was in place for millions of years (as far as we know). I remember a few other things that make this invasion special:
  • The female Fenrir's intuition tells it that this is the last invasion, something about a last "pylon".
  • Bernhardt, Henri and Malik were able to grow without being killed by the entity that killed the Sea King of the last invasion. They are unusual according to Eisheth, Eye-MC and the dream-people we talk to when ascending the tower with Henri.
  • Two Chosen (Aos and Syla) have turned their backs on their masters, although something like that could have happened before, and Syla was also rejected by Memory.
I think the Sea King was taked down by the Apostles themselves, Power manifested to scorch a Continent on that Planet after all, and i don't think anything other than a 'God' could take down the King/Queen of the Alt Humans, sure there are unrelated Deities in the universe, like the Wasting Mother that Malik's fighting currently, but those seem totally outside the Cycles of Monster Invasion, Malik had to travel to the Outer Rim of the universe to find himself in the situation of facing her. If that's the case, then the Trio might still be in line to be purged by the Apostles once they manifest, as the King and Queen were defeated even after having grown beyond being Spawns, but yeah, the story does make emphasis in this cycle being special, and the Trio as a whole something that shouldn't have been a thing.

Considering the whole conversation Tiffany had with the fat guy at the auction, it woulda been really hot if we transformed into her and fucked him while she questioned him.

I really wish there were more scenes of getting fucked while transformed as a waifu.
The Amber scene at the very beggining of the game has been and still is one of my favourites since the original release way back when.

Well, I don't think the last guy who tried it liked the result very much..:BootyTime:

Same kind of logic could be applied to Michael, he was a even more exceptional human than Oscar, not only did Michael, as a human, defeat Oscar, but he also killed his monster without dying in the process.

I also think it's funny how broken Michael could have been if he had been turned as a kid like Cole and the rest, I mean just think how easily he could have surpassed everyone if Michael had a over a decade of Superhuman life.

I mean think about it, as exceptional as the Mc is, or as brilliant as Deryl is, or as gifted as the moon twins are, none have that same cristal clear, ultimate single minded focus Michael has.
The Mc is strong as hell for a level 3, but how much time did he spend before and after turning into a Superhuman just goofing around ? pursuing girls and carnal pleasure, messing around with his friends etc.

Sure the Mc spent a ridiculous amount of time trainning no doubt, but someone like Michael ? Who seems to just eat, breath and sleep with only one ultimate goal in mind ? And train like a madman for the single purpose of gaining strength ? He would be unstopable.

I can't help but think Berhnhardt must have been a lot like Michael before he ascended as a Superhuman, just a exceptional human with a ultimate soldier's mentality. Who carried that single minded obsession and purpose over as a Superhuman and thus reached the top.
I think you overestimate how much importance dedicating yourself to training seems to help. The powers aren't body building, the powers have a heavy spiritual element and getting stronger is different for every single one of them and constant training could completely prevent any serious growth depending on what it is. A mindset like Michael's would probably heavily hinder the memory side of the MC's powers. His mom was in the top tier and her mentality probably played a big part in why she was so good with Memory.

Michael himself hit a road block with his power whereas someone else could have figured it out sooner.

I'm not convinced that is what happened to Zack. Indra is also nowhere to be found, I think it is more likely that Zack is still occupying him.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. It's a year already with invasion in full swing, and you're telling me Indra didn't curbstomp half of H.E.R.O. into the ground given the slightest chance to? Get out of here, there's clearly something not allowing him to go ham and erase everyone in a glorious fight but Nico, maybe Nyx and Henri too.

Ella herself said a single minded obsession with growing stronger is the key, trainning is just part of it.

Also never said anything about body building, my point was the absolute focus on one goal is what makes Michael the potentialy strongest. Everyone else has things that distract them.

Ofc I know luck and circumstances play a key part in it. But I do believe a mentality like Michael's is the key to reaching the summit of power.

Also, Michael's roadblock was due to HERO keeping him locked up. He himself said that, if he hadn't been held up, he would have sought out monsters to kill and challenge on his own , just like he adviced the Mc to do pre Valravn fight, thus he would have figured out how his powers work MUCH sooner without HERO.
So you really can't blame his roadblock on him or say his roadblock was due to a character flaw, it was due to HERO's restrictions.

Imagine how bad Bramon must have been to them that they consider Tanos great by comparison
From Cole's flashbacks, Tanos was actually being this super amazing parent figure to them while they were child lab rats. I assume to try to get them to ditch Bramon for him. Or maybe as a backup plan for if they try to escape, so they don't try to kill him. But we know from Ella, Liz, and Amber that he's just as bad as his father, if not worse. From Eisheth's interaction with Bramon, it seems like Bramon doesn't dissect things that are still alive (especially not humans), while Tanos does (Liz, Amber, Eisheth).

So far, Cole knows the truth about Tanos. Charlie knows and hates the guy. Shen might know, but he hates Cole. Briar and Zara are both stockholm syndromed idiots who still likes Tanos and trusts him.

They considered Tanos better because they were ignorant dumbass kids, not because Tanos was actually better. We saw from Cole's flashback that Bramon never took pleasure in "torturing" Cole but doing it out of necessity so that Cole could survive his power, unlike his son who's a sadist and actually enjoyed doing that shit.

Ella say's a lot of things, some of them she doesn't practice, she also says different methods suit different people. But the power system is fluid enough where I think that single minded obsession would cripple advancement in many of the powers, that you need to be motivated by something other than strength simply for strength. I brought up body builder because Michael has the mindset for an athlete, take proven theory, apply it constantly and rigidly but I stick by the point that the power system of the setting does not work that way, even Michael questions whether his mindset gets in the way of further power.

Michael lacks the social skills that prove invaluable, the MC, Ella, they make so many connections, that pay off massively in self improvement.

I know but my point being was someone else may figure out the trigger faster, he was training in a simulation, a lot of others would have connected the dots. Probably tons of vampiric monsters, there's even one that feeds on breast milk.

Michaels strong and all but nothing about his mindset cry's, the best. That's more Ella's thing to the point where even her death feels like it was all according to plan, I'm hoping the MC makes good on wanting to mess with her for once.

Ella also does a lot of time wasting to the point where I was thinking they should change some of the early stuff because giving how the story progresses, some of her actions now seem way below her paygrade.
