DAMN WHAT AN UPDATE! Pc got busted so it took me a while to play this one. Damn blue balls got even worse seeing the cliffhanger, and now I probably need to wait until 2026 to see Evo 4 MC? Shit. Anyway, update itself was really good, always nice to see MC rack up wins. As for the next one, in my ideal world theres a choice/requirement to save everybody in the main cast, though I agree WW is probably killing off someone. I do think that while those S-ranks are bad news, there's still 2 captains that should be able to kill them, they'd probably choose to defend Dexter and Lexi over regular citizens too.

Nope. The claw is unavailable, there's no path to getting it. What a tease. I mean, we went and intimidated the guy who won the auction, it wouldn't have been hard for the MC to demand the claw on his way out. Though "Power" is still one of the possible reward options you can request from Tiffany, so maybe the way that will pay off is that she will get the claw from Orson for the MC eventually. That could be cool.

That's for the first deal they made. The MC makes another deal with her when he starts helping her after returning from the monster world. Power is once more one of the options you can select.

Seems like no one talks about this cyclops guy:
- He has a stupid pose like Syla.
- The doll calls him ugly face, and Syla does the same with MC.
- We thought Shen’s power helped MC meet Syla, but it could’ve been this guy’s doing too.

They are. i went back after downloading the official version and before dissolving he says "memory trace" but he did learn the no thoughts turn into a puddle thing back when he was still level 1 before he ever started really using his memory powers as anything but a passive buffer for his shapeshifting. so yeah technically it shows that body can beat authority with enough skill and creativity even when lacking in raw power but it also drives home the extra point of body and memory being a beautiful duo.

So far as my personal read on the scenes, it's not an error. I think Liz chose to skip the picture on purpose. When you're talking with Emily, Liz is doing her pretending to be asleep thing. The best tl;dr of my thoughts on it is that Liz doesn't want there to be a group picture that has herself in it without Amber. And there's a LOT of other trauma baggage going along with that.
He said his strength largely depends on his weapons because they're the only way for him to use his power offensively and they can't withstand his full output atp iirc. So if the capacity of his weapons were improved(which is possible with all the scientific breakthrough came with the invasion) he could be far more powerful than he's now.
I mean sure it's cool? But then you realize it's basically the only thing we got in the whole MW Arc which's a whole year irl and is also completely irrelevant to any fight in said Arc so there's no pay off for whole year of training it suddenly sounds significantly less cool.
Seriously the non existent growth issue can be significantly improved if ww will just let MC and Deryl to experiment some of the moves they will later use in the Godzilla/Yuren fight in some of the fight in MW or even just in some short sparring training session. It not only helps us to visualize their growth better but also foreshadow their much more fancy moves later so they will have a better pay off and don't look like complete ass pull came out of nowhere.

The fights in that arc were either too easy for there to be any point in throwing off his opponent with quick transformations, or so hard that he needs to combine with Michael.
We see it in action in the very first update after the MW Arc, so I'm not sure what you're complaining about. Does it really matter how quickly we saw it?
The fights in that arc were like that because WW intentionally wrote it like that. He could've easily written the fights in the way that MC and Deryl can show some of the results of their training but he chose to hold them off which is part of my complaint so I don't know what's your point. Plus I also said it didn't even need to be a fight. Even a short sparring session showcasing some of their improvements will help immensely in visualizing their growth.
Also, yes it matters how quickly we saw it because it directly impacts the balance between buildup and pay off. I'm not arguing MC and Deryl should pull up new toys every updates but having them going through the whole MW arc which have the fans absolutely hyped for their growth(understandingly) and ended up having nearly nothing to show for it throughout 4 updates? It's definitely not a good balance of buildup and payoff. In fact I can't even think of a single narrative advantage for holding them off like that. As a person above said, the mantis punch against Val wouldn't be nearly as satisfying if we didn't have a sneak peek of how powerful it can be and had been itching for MC to use that move in a fight.

This rapid transformation has yet to be used outside of that training scene, and I’m not sure that it will. Think about it.. Weird has to actually create the images. So the MC will continue to transform at the same pace as he did before that training happened with Ella.
So it might as well not have happened.

The MC already shifts between his armor modes rapidly, handled by using a set of stock images that can be overlaid on fight-specific backgrounds. I see no reason why a set of stock images for the full-body transformations can't be done the same way. So instead of the MC rapidly shifting to his light armor to fly forward, he'd rapidly shift into eagle form to fly forward. Instead of the MC rapidly shifting into heavy armor to attack, he'd rapidly shift into his muscle transformation to attack. You can tell from some scenes that Weird has already made stock images for the full-body transformations (it's most obvious in the simulator fight in this update), so that's probably what we're going to get.
It feels like the game needs another 6 updates before he finishes the story. There are way too many plot threads that haven't been taken care of and battles that need to be fought.
For example, the Alice battle was an entire update. We need an alice and michael fighting in the sky and then them coming back to earth update, MC fighting something to get to level 4 update, liz and amber also evolving or doing something update, sin update to fight cole and shen, roaming s class monsters will also need an update for themselves (could be the level 4 update), and then after them the intelligent s class also need an upate for their battles and to take care of those plot threads. Emily turning into a superhuman update, MC turning Cole into a femboy and getting that bussy update, the whole apostles drama will also need an update dedicated to them. Also Ella will also need an update for her shit. You've also got the entire HERO org with Tanos and Xanthe story threads that will need an update. And a bunch of other things
