They're likely referring to Thalos, the son of the Sea King. Or was that the King's name? Either way, that's one of the Sea humans from the preview pictures that hasn't appeared yet.Talos?

Could be part of what they meant, but they where asking about approval, as if characters are granted their abilities like some sort of rental.I'm pretty sure that person was just asking about multiple traits in one person...
As in, MC being able to use both Body and Memory's traits to their full extent (if with less potency than a pure spawn), without it becoming a singular power with a mixed effect, like most monsters and superhumans have.
Approval for what?Well you would need approval from the specific twin apostles, which tend not to happen so they kill you, at lest according to Syla.
I think they meant the existence of Split Spawn like MC, Memory want one, and Body just rolled with her on it, but other Apostles seem to despise the existence of Split Spawns according to Syla and other hints on the game, but yeah, Apostles don't have Authority over the Power their lineage end up with, is not like the Power X Spawn use is from their Origin Apostle(at least not directly), they can't just take the power from x Individual, there's a reason Malik, Bernhardt and Henri exist in the first place, despite the Eye mention of how they shouldn't be a thing, however, Apostles do kill Spawn that are not sanctioned under whatever rules they have, but again, is not something done 10/10 times, as again, Bernie, Malik and Henri were allowed to grow to the power they have now, when EyeMC hint that things like them are often killed before getting too strong.Approval for what?
You have to be made that way, by either them, or by two monsters that possess the pure traits... which would most often be their Chosen.Approval for what?
You right, though I do think these Monsters are gonna show up soon enough, mainly because how "close" the 1.0 Update is, there shouldn't be a ton of content planned too far into the Future. About Talos, I'm almost 100% sure that he's a special case, as in, he was retcon out of the Game and wouldn't show up never, but initially was planned to. Like, WW changed things from the Monster World Arc, Talos was probably one of those, if he was the son of the Invincible Lord or any Althuman Spawn that's worth a cent, he shouldn't exist on the current timeline, at least definitely not in his same, lost world, wouldn't make sense, if was encounter on outer space like Malik?, that's other deal but still unlikely, would feel like an odd narrative choice.Or it will be like with Talos i.e. "Look at the cool monster" then proceeds to do fuck all with it for the next year. Preview does not guarantee something will be in the game in any capacity, not to mention in the next update, though to be fair in Talos case he wrote he might not be present in the game. But I do like speculations, and redesign of Gestas is pleasing for the eye, so eh, it is what it is.
Thalos actually has made an appearance in the game. Just in a memory the MC reads, though, from the gun in the seahuman armory. It's not full of detail, so you could be right that he's been retconned to have his importance reduced. It's a minor enough memory that Weirdworld could just not follow up on it and nobody would pay it much mind. You right, though I do think these Monsters are gonna show up soon enough, mainly because how "close" the 1.0 Update is, there shouldn't be a ton of content planned too far into the Future. Seahuman Memory said:"I stand tall, proud. My offspring, the fruit of my loins, is finally ready to receive his name, his weapon."
"An heirloom of our family. Ancient, but it has not been left behind by the times. Each generation has built upon its technology."
"It has served me well. But now... it is time."
Male "Father."
"He looks up at me with pride. Kneeling, waiting."
"I take the gun, its grip worn, but comfortable. I place it in his hands and his eyes light up with a joy I have not seen since he was a boy."
You "Thalos, my son...."
You "It falls to you, to redeem our clan."
"He takes the weapon, and his power flows through it. In his hands, it becomes a tool of destruction far beyond what it was in my own."
"With it. He takes us... to victory."

Pretty much what i meant, split spawn are a known danger so the apostles take a more shall we say "active" role in pruning them, except for the Forth and the Third, lesser spawn like Bernie, Malik and Henri are unpredictable and can range from run of the mill to extremely powerful so they can slip through the cracks from time to time. You have to be made that way, by either them, or by two monsters that possess the pure traits... which would most often be their Chosen.
And as has been mentioned, other than the third and fourth, the apostles supposedly hunt impure spawns.
Indra is way older than Thalos. Stating that he's seen many cycles of worlds being defeated, during Zack's reunion with him. The current Monster World with the Alt Humans (Sea and Sky People) is a recent conquest. How recent? Who knows, but Thalos isn't Indra.Thalos has some neat similarities with Indra I just noticed. Their pose is kind of similar, they have lightning going around them and they both wield powerful rifles.
Which update was Indra first shown? Was it anywhere around when Thalos was revealed? If so it could be some neat foreshadowing to Indras possible past.
That does beg the question: Why such a focus on lightning? If Indra, and possibly Thalos, are spawn of Power you would assume they would use more generalized energy or possibly radiation like Michael. Instead they use lightning more like Met.Talos was most likely a Power Spawn given how similar he looked to Indra.
Not really. Becoming direct spawn of an apostle doesnt necessarily mean you'd get the same powers everytime, especially not after you evolve. Alot of it depends on the person themselves, their soul, mind, genes, memories etc. Weirdworld has put in lots of nuance and complexity to this whole supernatural monster power mechanic stuff. Both lightning and radiation fall under 2nd's domain so it makes sense that Indra uses mostly lightning and Michael mostly radiation despite them coming from the same source. That does beg the question: Why such a focus on lightning? If Indra, and possibly Thalos, are spawn of Power you would assume they would use more generalized energy or possibly radiation like Michael. Instead they use lightning more like Met.
It almost makes me think that Indra was in a similar situation to Michael, that is being possibly more compatible with a Leigong and failing to kill it or not being able to offer it to Power if he did beat it.
Maybe Indra was spamming lightning because he knew Syla was weak to it? Or maybe he just focused on it so much that his ability evolved around that, improving it and neglecting the rest?I'm not convinced by that argument. Radiation and lightning are both part of Powers... power-set and evolution does give new abilities, but level 1 spawn seem to have similar abilities that differ mostly in strength and magnitude that get expanded/shifting functions as they evolve. Having a direct spawn of power able to use only lightning seem like a substantial limitation and focus on one specific aspect that I feel makes it questionable.
To be fair the sample size of (possible) Greater Spawn of Power is 2 that I remember but on the other hand it is the same for Body: Ella and MCs use of body is very similar and seem similar to what we have seen and can reasonably expect from Body itself, with the main differences being mostly due to MCs access to Memory and training.
Indra and Met on the other hand seem more similar in their powers than Ella and MC does. Both use exclusively lightning based attacks (so far), can turn into lightning and Met has the ability to use internally stored lightning to greatly enhance his physical abilities. That last part isn't something Indra has explicitly shown/mentioned but he is known for being extremely strong physically.
Until further information is presented I don't think a Greater Spawn would be as limited as Indra seem to be, his origin is too pure for that and he, Met and the Leigong just have too similar abilities.
Not all powers are created equal. Some powers are more expansive than others. There's not too much room for Body spawn to vary in ability, whereas Power has all different types of energy under it's domain.I'm not convinced by that argument. Using lightning against Syla made sense. But he also arrived and left by transforming into lightning, when he arrived during the Black Moon his presence caused a lightning storm and he used lightning against Zack during that same scene. Granted those two events are really all we have of him using his power(s) but it has always been lightning.Maybe Indra was spamming lightning because he knew Syla was weak to it? Or maybe he just focused on it so much that his ability evolved around that, improving it and neglecting the rest?
Also, Indra's lightning is red, like the 2nd and Michael's, and unlike Met and Leigong's, so there's that.
The issue with this is that Bernhardts wind is still wind. Yes he can collapse reality with it by compressing it so hard physics dies but it is still essentially the same thing he may have been able to do as a level 1, just with massively increased power and magnitude. Same with Maliks fire really. And even if that's not the case, I think is safe to assume that Indra's lightning is most likely a more conceptual thing, like raw power that is simply manifested in the shape of the element, Malik and Bernhardt both use 'Fire'/'Wind', but the first can reach temperatures hotter than a Quasar and the second can just fold time and space because¿?, I think after a certain level, the Powers of Monsters and Superhumans just transcend to something more Conceptual, at least if they play with Energy/Elements.
Body has plenty of variety, it just seem limited because MC and Ella have the pure trait which lets them do pretty much all of it, just like Michael with his pure trait can do all types of energy. I believe Bramon said that Ellas and MCs shapeshifting is very rare or even unique because they are not limited to pre-set forms and are limited mostly by their imagination and practice. Not all powers are created equal. Some powers are more expansive than others. There's not too much room for Body spawn to vary in ability, whereas Power has all different types of energy under it's domain.
