Just got into this game for the first time (what a time to get started given that it's apparently in version 0.99) and had a couple of basic "gameplay" questions.

Obviously the game plays out through 2-3 time slots per day (I'm on like day 5 right now) but I'm wondering, are they all mutually exclusive slots?! Like, if you choose to meet Daryl on Day 1 that's a totally unique encounter? Or is it more of a Persona-esque system where there's a set number of "Daryl encounters" and you will always play them out in order?

If the system is the former, that seems like a pretty overwhelming variety of choice, so I'm assuming its more like the latter? Assuming it IS more of the latter, is it possible to experience all of the different routes in one playthrough? Or if I pick "training" options early, am I sacrificing being able to see all the side character stuff?
From what I've seen, it seems like there's only ever two choices for important stuff. So whether you attend certain events as a woman or a man, whether you go high or low corruption, whether you prioritise power or skill, etc.
Basically, if you want to see absolutely everything, you only need two runs so long as you don't accidentally go down the same path you did last time.

There are a couple of missable scenes in the early game, but nothing that significant. There's a little scene where you talk to Deryl about learning to understand your powers, which you have to do in the first couple days or else it's cut because it wouldn't make sense. Why talk to him about that when you've had your powers for a while and understand them well? A bigger potential miss is that the frat party event has an entire alternate path if you decide to go in a female form, you'll need to have joined the cheerleaders early on to do that. But that's not a really major event, do it so you can see it if you want but it won't have significant story difference.

Otherwise, go for training whenever possible. You will need the stats, and it won't cost you anything. Just be aware of three things: Firstly, there is an early game Dead End that can be unlocked by having too high a Power when you fight Ella. If your Power is seven or higher, just choose not to fight her. Or save before you do, because it actually is an interesting scene with implications that are still debated to this day, so it's worth seeing. But it will end the game. Secondly, there's a point around a third of the way into the game where no story events will happen until you choose to go to the mall with your friends. That point is there to catch up on any side-routes you haven't had time for yet because you were grinding stats. Don't make the mistake of going straight to the mall, do everything else first. Thirdly, the aforementioned cheerleading route is actually training events in disguise, you'll get bonus Skill points for it and in the early game those are hard to come by.

Great update. Low key hoping to finally see a captain or two get wrecked. Ever since we saw them first, they've had this "lid" on everything. New monsters? Who cares, got the captains. World spanning monster invasion? Who cares, captains on the job. Might be just me but I have not gotten a "oh shit will Earth be fine?" moment so far because they can just captain a threat away. Would be great to get a reminder that human world is still on the back foot and overcoming the threats (if at all possible) will require a bit more than Bern waving his hand.

Fabulous update! I thought the idea of hacking the portals and sending the captains to destroy the invasion worlds was brilliant.

I also liked the information about Tanos’s three spheres of research. The second one, a world of antimatter and opposing energy, where creation is reflected as destruction, and vice versa, is especially fascinating. And the third, the Sphere of Fantasy I believe the “dream world” is located there, right? Though probably not just that one. According to Aglaecwif, those from the Memory type have less influence there than beings of Fantasy type.

Actually, it made me imagine she might have an insanely overpowered ability, kind of like Obito from Naruto: she could make her body intangible by existing within the Sphere of Fantasy, while her body in the standard sphere would remain practically untouchable. That would make her pretty broken, but that’s just my thought.

About Nico’s scene, WW’s erotic artwork has improved a lot, the angles he used were excellent, and I liked the sound effects too.

As for Zack, did anyone else notice the red lightning? The theory is that he was being controlled by Black Mouth, but at least, I saw it.

Lastly, did anyone else miss him? I think he’s going to shine in the next update.

My man, she started blushing and stammering after a bit of hand-holding. Girl is as pure as the driven snow, just desperate.

You wont miss anything. The only missable thing is if you do the deryl/cheerleader events later on, you wont be able to go to a party as a chick which imo isnt that much of a miss lol. But if you want it, just always train first, go with the derly/cheerleader options second and everything else afterwards.

Said the Asymptote to the Limit.
Honestly, at the pace we're going neutron decay will hit before 1.0

Something that Ella mentioned once, when talking about "gods" other than the Apostles.
Honestly, I had a feeling I remembered that from somewhere, but I couldn't quite place the where.
Maybe I should replay the entire thing again...
...oh no, the horror...

Still, any bets for what that thing is going to mean for the story and what Tanos planned with something as ridiculous as a monopole?
