You should be fine. Corruption hasn't been that important to the narrative yet, though there have been hints that will change eventually. The translated monster dialogue will never be particularly important, the MC needs actual education in the language and not just Corruption to get the nuances of the language. The MC will have the option to be more brutal in a few side events if your Corruption is high enough, and likewise a few events will cut off the option to show empathy if the MC's Corruption is too high. It's such a high cut-off that you won't reach it unless you're intentionally aiming for it, though, 40 Corruption.
Corruption does not matter that much now and might probably never do except scene variants so dont worry about it. The full corruption or purity saves are just for people roleplaying!

I was mostly on a minimum corruption playthrough. I think I only spared him once, all other playthroughs killed the dude.

I think its real, and he's on a mission in outer space. Iirc, Malik goes around the planet looking for any remaining living beings, and he only pops the planet after he confirms that everyone they could get is out. He wouldn't be taking those measures if its just a fantasy. So I think HERO is doing some scifi nonsense with harnessing the power of the new born star. Maybe a Dyson Sphere/Ring weapon like Tony Stark was creating in Hickman's Avengers run.

I was thinking that Nico is probably with him out there. Like, thats why he was looking for any survivors left and how he was getting them out safely. Malik didn't fly off into space on his own. Nico is teleporting out with him on some mission.
I think it could also make sense for Malik being the one doing the exploration, since he is one of the three strongest Superhumans of the current iteration of Humanity, he could probably deal with most things that show up, like he did with those Ancient Monsters, Nico while obviously faster and more proper for such mission might have problems with whatever she encounters on x Planet/Outer Space, besides, i'm sure her ability is more needed on earth, while Malik's raw power void is covered by Bernhardt and Henri
I think is safe to assume that Malik's mind is a mess, I mean, despite him being as friendly with MC, and clearly having some moral still, he is far too emotional, he was gonna use a Planck Attack with Ella within Hex's dimension on a fit of rage, while Bernhardt thanked the Eye for left earth before using such attack, meaning that it would be devasting to the Planet, he also lighted up the warehouse in which Alexis was after Aglaecwif touched a nerve. And the way he refer to the voices in his head is 'Brothers/Sisters', he don't call anyone on HERO that, besides Henri and Bernhardt, this make me think that Malik's corruption or maybe a common mental illness make him hallucinate the voices of Early HERO members that died or people he knew as a thug before being recruited by M-Corp, I do like your point of it being regardless something caused by Glae, but I think is more on the line of her having shaked his beliefs, resulting in Malik abandoning Earth to search for Ancient Human planets that she mentioned, previous 'Cycles'
