You know a game is good when someone who has only played it for 15 days is already going through withdrawal. :Kappa:
I tend to get obsessed for a while after finishing any of my favorite media lol. But the cliffhanger has a lot to do with it. If I had caught up in the middle of the monster world arc, I wouldn't be waiting for an update so passionately

I've been referencing the thread as I play, and I see that a lot of people are doing either a full corruption/power run, or a 0 corruption/skill playthrough. Is that the way the story is meant to play out? Meaning, do I need to go all-in on either path in order to have the most enjoyable experience with the story/lore?

Right now my playthrough is focused on skill, but I am killing people though. My corruption's not super high (it's at 17, and I'm at the beginning of the Valravn arc), because I'm only killing people that try to do me harm.

But it feels like playing this way is going to cause me to miss out on a lot of things as I get deeper into the game. I already can't understand what the Apostle is telling me in my dreams, because my corruption is too low.
You should be fine. Corruption hasn't been that important to the narrative yet, though there have been hints that will change eventually. The translated monster dialogue will never be particularly important, the MC needs actual education in the language and not just Corruption to get the nuances of the language. The MC will have the option to be more brutal in a few side events if your Corruption is high enough, and likewise a few events will cut off the option to show empathy if the MC's Corruption is too high. It's such a high cut-off that you won't reach it unless you're intentionally aiming for it, though, 40 Corruption.

The one exception to the "Corruption isn't that important" rule is a specific Dead End, #36. If you have 25 or more Corruption, then immediately after #36 you get a special scene. That's a scene that you'll be right to feel like you've missed out on viewing, it shows some important details. I won't give specific instructions on how you unlock #36 in case you haven't gotten close to it yet, but it should be pretty obvious when it happens. For reference, it's during the Battle of Diamonds, after the fight appears to be over. Pick the obviously suspicious option and you'll unlock Dead End #36. I recommend just saving at that point and editing your save to have enough Corruption.

Corruption does not matter that much now and might probably never do except scene variants so dont worry about it. The full corruption or purity saves are just for people roleplaying!

Not particularly. Outside of minor one-off characters, i guess. Like, I don't want to have another meeting with Amber/Liz's swimming sponsor, if you chose not to kill him.
Hahaha bro, the world is literally in the middle of an apocalyptic threat, why tf would we be meeting a fat swimming sponsor?
And does this mean you didn't kill him? Hahaha this shit is too funny man, I totally forgot that guy even exist.

I was mostly on a minimum corruption playthrough. I think I only spared him once, all other playthroughs killed the dude.

No, people just do that because it makes sense.
Corruption provides a lot of extra power, so if you're going 0 corruption then you need max skill to defeat Valravn without Brianna's help and earn his respect.

Dark Adam. The reason might be offensive for someone, but the first time I played I had watched Hazbin Hotel and I couldn't help but see a cool parallel between MC and Ella with Adam and Eve, with Ella offering the pill (parallel to the apple) to MC, which changed his world. With all this, it came to me naturally. I also thought that MC would be the first superhuman, just like Adam being the first human, so there's this extra, and despite me being horribly wrong I think it's cool that my MC had a cocky mentality by thinking he's the first only to get humbled not much later.
I think I heard somewhere (in a stream probably) that MC's default name was supposed to be Adam, might be wrong tho

Nah you don't understand the sheer pain of the regular cliffhangers we get here. This one is tame by comparison.

I dobut we are gonna see him a whole lot on the next update, so I'm gonna ask now.

Think Malik is on an Outer Space adventure for whatever reason or inside a Fantasy made by Aglaecwif?, I'll say the first option seem far more likely, but I expect either to be possible, especially since we last see him alongside her before his scene of him blowing up planets and making Stars.

I think its real, and he's on a mission in outer space. Iirc, Malik goes around the planet looking for any remaining living beings, and he only pops the planet after he confirms that everyone they could get is out. He wouldn't be taking those measures if its just a fantasy. So I think HERO is doing some scifi nonsense with harnessing the power of the new born star. Maybe a Dyson Sphere/Ring weapon like Tony Stark was creating in Hickman's Avengers run.

If its a fantasy, then its a fantasy so well done that Malik doesn't realize he's in a fantasy. Because he wouldn't be trying to avoid killing innocents/bystanders if he knew it was all a hallucination, imo.

For me I think it’s one of two things and they’re both a result of Aglaecwif’s power.

Either it’s revealed that the Big Three all come from failed civilizations like the sea and sky people and they made it to Earth.
This theory is a little far fetched but it would explain their freakish strength and that they’ve lived as long as some of the Chosen.

The second option, and the more likely one, is that it’s just Aglaecwif showing him the worst case scenario.
Earth got wrecked, some of humanity left the planet with Clark + Nico, and maybe other powers, and now he’s looking for survivors.
That would explain the whole dialogue with the unknown party.

Anyway even if both theories are wrong I still believe it’s something caused by Aglaecwif’s power.
It makes no sense for him to leave Earth to search for people otherwise, and the dramatic dialogue doesn’t match up either.
If they were going to send someone to space it would be Nico since she can literally travel galaxies in a second, not Malik.

I was thinking that Nico is probably with him out there. Like, thats why he was looking for any survivors left and how he was getting them out safely. Malik didn't fly off into space on his own. Nico is teleporting out with him on some mission.

I think it could also make sense for Malik being the one doing the exploration, since he is one of the three strongest Superhumans of the current iteration of Humanity, he could probably deal with most things that show up, like he did with those Ancient Monsters, Nico while obviously faster and more proper for such mission might have problems with whatever she encounters on x Planet/Outer Space, besides, i'm sure her ability is more needed on earth, while Malik's raw power void is covered by Bernhardt and Henri

I think is safe to assume that Malik's mind is a mess, I mean, despite him being as friendly with MC, and clearly having some moral still, he is far too emotional, he was gonna use a Planck Attack with Ella within Hex's dimension on a fit of rage, while Bernhardt thanked the Eye for left earth before using such attack, meaning that it would be devasting to the Planet, he also lighted up the warehouse in which Alexis was after Aglaecwif touched a nerve. And the way he refer to the voices in his head is 'Brothers/Sisters', he don't call anyone on HERO that, besides Henri and Bernhardt, this make me think that Malik's corruption or maybe a common mental illness make him hallucinate the voices of Early HERO members that died or people he knew as a thug before being recruited by M-Corp, I do like your point of it being regardless something caused by Glae, but I think is more on the line of her having shaked his beliefs, resulting in Malik abandoning Earth to search for Ancient Human planets that she mentioned, previous 'Cycles'
