Not sure if this is a bug in the game in general, or just a result of transferring my saves from Android 7.8 to JoiPlay 8.0, but when I view text conversations in the gallery, the name variables (Mom, Sis, Player) are not being filled in. They show up normally when I do them in "realtime", but pulling them up in the gallery they're being treated as 0-length strings (e.g., "Hey , are you going to join me and for dinner?") I've attached my save file for reference.

Hmm... It's working for me on PC.
I can't really help you with JoiPlay, unfortunately.

Have you copied the persistent file as well?

While we wait for the official update, here's the file I edited to fix the Donna/Rose level up helper bug. To install, clip off the numbers and underscore the forum adds to the front of the filename and make sure it's saved as a .rpy, drop it into the game/Functions folder, and overwrite.

i did that way but it downloaded as notepad

You can just wait for 0.8.1 - We officially fixed that bug in that update.

0.8.1 is already out for Tier 3 Patrons, Tier 2 will follow on December
30th, and the Public version is scheduled for January 2nd.

If you really can't wait:
Save the file as: Helper.rpy (you can check at the bottom of the download window) in "SweetAffection/game/Functions"
Overwrite the existing file.

That should not happen... Sounds a bit like as if the app was still running in the background.
But even then, the save files should not break.
Perhaps Android saves and emulated saves are not compatible?
You could ask in our Discord. I think there are some people emulating the game on Android.

Got this when doing 6pm Level 2 Rose event. I confirmed that the image file is in the correct location, so the game must be referencing it incorrectly. Missing path or extension, maybe?

bruh the first real sex scene i encountered was lv7 lvlup
imagine 6 lvl for some bullshit kissing teasing

When using joiplay the animations for the game do not play for me. Scenes where the animation would play are skipped entirely. Does anyone know how to fix this? I already extracted the videos.
