That is happening to everyone and probably intentional. What is happening is the resources like the images for sex scenes are being loaded into memory when you need them. So if you go around viewing all the scenes in Recollection room the memory usage would be huge. The game doesn't release the memory after use so it only keeps growing. I remember in the beginning the game would load all the resources into memory on startup. So the game needs a long time to startup and would use at least 1GB+ memory from the beginning, but at least there was never any lag from loading scenes. Then Fujino changed it so it loads resources as needed.

Thanks for the reply. I just so happen to finish part 2 chapter 1 yesterday and was in the recollection room when I noticed this leak. Was considering reinstalling windows if I couldn't figure out the issue, thankfully its the game not my system . The worst thing about it is, it doesnt refresh after shutting down the game, the leak stays so you have to either sign out or restart to get it back to normal.

So just to clarify, the leak happens with desktop window manager for everyone right?

Does not seems to be the case with v0.65 i got to watch half of the Mod gallery, memory want from 6go to 8.5go and closing the game get it back to 6go (windows 11)
But it lag a lot more than usual for sure

Maybe we were not talking about the same thing. If the game's memory usage doesn't go away after shutting off the program then that is something I never experienced. I am using Windows 10 btw. If you open task manager do you still see Game.exe after closing the game? If so then you can manually shut down the program using Task Manager.

Okay my bad. I didn't know Desktop Window Manager was a separate app. Since it only happens when you use that app then it is a problem with the app not Windows or the game. Maybe look up videos and guides on how to fix high usage with DWM. A quick search I did shows this is a common issue with DWM. Good luck!
