It would feel more like NTR if Kirito and Asuna had more interactions together. But now they only meet in FOG and only talk on the phone or video chat. They both have more interactions with their cheating partners than each other. I barely they are still a couple instead of people who game together. Hopefully Fujino will put more reactions from Kirito. They are always fucking around Kirito but he never notices which is funny but doesn't give the feelings of loss NTR need.
Agree, that’s the big problem with Part 2—they completely lost their personal lives, and it's got even worse since the work arc started.
That's the big issue that the 'soft restart' caused, Fujino probably tried to portray KiriSuna as more distant from each other at the beginning of Part 2 and going forward to not make it completely feel as if Part 1's 'progress' got erased, but in doing so he essentially killed the main reasons the "NTR Lovers" liked this game, aka KiriSuna's relationship being ruined as she's stolen by some random guy, because he all but murdered the 'love' between them. It's to the point basically no 'romantic' moments between them in Part 1 had felt real or even remotely like their canon relationship, which Part 1 at least kinda-tried to do even if everyone was still retardedly OOC, is the biggest consequence of dragging a NTR story so much and for so long, at some point it really stops being 'at least better than a 15 pages doujin' and just plain out becomes a giant mess even those that like NTR start getting tired of, hell, we passed the point where the average Kirito x Suguha x Asuna threesome doujin plot (Which is usually just horny nonsense too, if fun) feels better written than this game's plot XD
Mind you, it's still extremely popular in its niche fanbase and will probably stay that way until the end because it IS "SAO" and because for some just seeing any girl around Kirito fucked/fucking with other men is enough for them to feel "NTR", but even them are getting annoying and starting to lose it
hilariously because of Fujino's one TRUE attempts of making the game feel more diverse/unique by actually having Kirito getting corrupted too by the other girls around him, especially Suguha after getting free from her own cliche NTR plot. So now Fujino has people getting annoyed at him on both sides that we can vocally see in this thread...and yet it means nothing because despite how much the people who want Asuna getting fucked IRL ASAP bitch, how much the people wanting less FOG in a game about a series based almost completely on virtual worlds moan, or how much those who want the other girls around Kirito to get insta-fucked by some random NTR man/Inoda instead of Kirito rage, Fujino has kept doing his thing for months now without any visible negative reaction because the majority of those who actually support him (And that he listens to because, you know, they give him money) still love his game and having caused any backslash like what the beginning of Part 2 did, which actually made him rewrite the game's original direction because of how big it was and how bad things were for him back then :O
