Yeah I think it's too late to worry about how true to canon any of these characters are. He has to change them to suit the particular story he wants to tell, and you just have to decide whether he's bending the characters too much or not.

But Asuna in the first half of Part 2 had a character like in the canon and Fujino corrupted her with slow corruption (flowers with pollen, dissatisfaction with sex), but I think Fujino realized that it took too long and just changed Asuna's character. Fujino attributed this change to the scene in the brothel, but to be honest, Asuna had become too cold and passively aggressive towards Kirito. Fujino hadn't worked with slow corruption and story games before, so I can understand that he didn't really appreciate the scales, especially when using characters like Asuna. Fujino could have continued the slow corruption without changing Asuna's character, but it is unknown if the game would have ended at this rate by version 3.00. NTR is a sexual theft, you don't have to involve feelings in it. Asuna could have remained herself, but she changed during sex, and then she became herself again and returned to Kirito.

Yeah the first half of part 2 was brutal. Before the sudden tree house scene, it was like canon Asuna. Absolutely nothing got past the blue ball wall. Still not sure what the point of all those patches were since looking back at them they are pretty much all filler now.

Yeah, Asuna had lots of sex with Oberon that's not counted at the start of part 1, so her real numbers are a lot higher. Although now I thnk about it, does Asuna sex stats increase for in game sex or just IRL sex? I'm sure it's both, so even if all Sugou did was in game sex then her experience should be lots higher.

The update will come with a save file that starts at beginning of update so you don't need one.
Considering my guess is that this will be the last "normal" report, I am somewhat excited. I'm still going to guess that the update comes out on the last Sunday of January, or the Jan 24 - 26 weekend. I won't be surprised if Fujino mentions on the 1/20 JST progress report that the update is coming out soon.So, are you guys excited for tomorrow's progress report?
