Fujino trying to speed up the game's plot
All that + we know nothing about what kind of job he does IRL. Maybe it's very tiring or something like that
if i have to guess, fujino sensei is a corporate slave who probably does some tech/it related work from 9 to 5. plus, japanese work culture is crazy!! so even outside of that, working on his side passion (game dev) must be a lot... hope he takes it easy and gets better, he’s done more than enough
We fell simpathy for him he need to take care of himself because depeding what kind of work he does in Japan the thing could be brutal + game development in your free time it's just add insult to injury.
But i wonder why is he rushing, there's no need for that, he forgot that he have 3 months to work with ease?
i'm saying that because Fujino started this update cycle what 20 days ago and he already did almost on average 50% of the entire next update.
Even his CIEN fanbase are telling him to take it ease and take care of his health first.

I'm waiting to play this one because I know it's going to be good. Can anyone give an estimated guess as to how long this game takes to complete from start to finish? I might just wait for a few more updates until trying it

If you read and explore everything thoughtfully, searching for all the scenes, then each update takes from 40 minutes to 1 hour, sometimes even more if the update is saturated with dialogues. So at the moment, it will take 14-15 hours to complete.
Interesting question. It is forbidden to mention incest in games on Patreon. But Fujino had already mentioned Kyoko several times, specifically as Asuna's mother. If Fujino wants to do scenes between Kyoko and Asuna in the future, he will have to change their nominal relationship. And will have to change it from the very beginning of the game. "Landlord", etc.

well that depend in how much you like to read, because there's a ton of text.
But if you don't skip i would say something like solid 8 to 10 hours give or take, but your milage may vary

It's a mixed one, he never was one of the incest is wincest authors but he does include incest.
Not only possible it's suppose to happen in the next 2 or 3 updates, if Fujino don't change his mind.
Poor Fujino, as a guy that just had a terrible day at work, I can symphatize, may he rest well.

Middle of may a small one, just a new extra scene and some rework (new text only) in some older scenes.
End of June the full 0.85 update.
Until further notice from Fujino that is the schedule l.
I can't blame him, the quality of the game falling. since fujino able to update every consistent every month a single update. I think he should have update 1.5 month addition 15 days for polish game if needed. because of these reason draw back for 3 months update.
you're think fujino will do these, there was part of current ver. happening but was cut away of the scene during the calling.
If Kirito ever loses his obsession with Asuna, the entire story would collapse—that’s simply unacceptable. I know meta-wise, most players now see her as a hypocritical, promiscuous villain. But in Fujino’s canon, she remains the Helen who sparked a Trojan War. Sugou, Inoda, Kirito—all are bewitched by her, and even side characters treat her as a goddess incarnate.
So face the truth: in Fujino’s universe, no matter how Kirito’s story ends, Asuna and Inoda will live happily ever after.

Happily ever after? In the original story, Elena brought only death and destruction to all the men who loved her. She was the cause of the war. According to your logic, Asuna is Elena, Inoda is Paris, who stole Elena, Kirito is Menelaus, to whom Elena originally belonged. But this story says that in the end, Paris died, Elena ran away to the Temple, but then returned to Menelaus and he forgave her.
What prevents us from assuming that Kirito, having learned the whole truth, will go to war on Inoda and destroy him in one way or another. And Asuna, having lost the man she is in love with at the moment, has disappeared, she will have to go through it alone, because everyone around her understands that she is not only a beauty, but also a whore who caused misfortunes. The only thing left for her is to return to Kirito, as he is the only person who can forgive her.
If you compare Asuna to Helen of Troy, don't forget that Elena is a symbol of war and the envy of the goddesses. She couldn't live happily ever after with anyone.
