I'm not really here to argue about whether what ended up happening was interesting or not to some people. Was mainly just pointing out how the Liz scene wasn't "literally out of nowhere". And also it's not "fast" because Liz didn't go from 0 to 100 and becoming Inoda's slut. There's a lot of nonsense to explain the situation, and whether that's acceptable to someone or not, that's on them. I didn't think the succubi outfit and switcheroo were inherently interesting and/or clever, but I did find the situation hot, and liked Liz's inner monologue. But yeah, I wasn't really talking about things being convenient or not convenient.Regarding Liz's downfall, it was clear from the start that Inoda would eventually be able to control her, thanks to the effect of the bracelet. When she first described the bracelet's effect, it seemed like a good idea. At the time of its release, people even praised the concept because it fit Liz's character and the overall plot.
The problem is how it was executed. Many people were guessing how Inoda would outsmart her, but what we got was Yui leading Inoda to a specific map. For some reason, the developers hadn't deleted it, and conveniently, it contained equipment that turned girls into succubi (whaaaaat?!). On top of that, Yui then altered the potion's effect to the point where its stats became superior to Liz's.
It's all too "convenient," which makes it uninteresting.
Remember how Inoda used to buy sleeping potions from a shop to have his way with Asuna? He knew the game well and would put them in disadvantageous battles just to get his hands on Asuna again.
He knew about the underground street and could have known about forbidden items. There are forbidden items like HSVA-03 (the scene where Sinon gives Kirito a blowjob). Inoda could have obtained some item or potion behind the scenes, perhaps even by contacting the council, not necessarily a high-ranking member. Those two guys who threatened Sinon were just ordinary members, yet they had access to such items.
Also, are there really no other blacksmiths in the game besides Liz? Couldn't someone in the underground have altered the bracelet's effect, added some extra conditions for it to work, or created another item that would help him? For example, a ring or a necklace that would gradually increase the wearer's affection for the person who gave it to them. This is essentially a similar item to what we ended up with, but how Inoda would have acquired it and how it would have gradually taken effect would have been much more interesting. Fujino just took the easy way out.
Anyways, I don't really have to argue/debate back regarding your other points, since I don't think they have much to do with what I was talking about in the post I said. However I will point out that I never really had the impression that Inoda was extremely clever. Your ideas sound interesting, but they also sound like the ideas of someone not Inoda. A lot of Inoda's clever plans/ideas do feel like a lot of convenient situations where Inoda is "failing upwards" more often than not. If someone refers back to Part 1, there are definitely a few times Inoda got things right, but then also had shit bite him back in the ass. He was definitely more clever in Part 1 compared to Part 2, but I wouldn't say clever enough to actually be out smarting people and doing special plans. Most times everyone is too stupid around Inoda, or in Part 2, Kirito isn't allowed to be suspicious anymore. A lot of things are convenient for Inoda and that's just kind of how it's been.
