I'm surprised so many people liked the update. It seems to me that Fujino forgets what happened in the previous update with every update and simply changes the game's direction 180 degrees. This has been happening for the last 4-5 updates, though, considering I didn't particularly like it before, maybe this approach isn't bad, but the overall integrity is definitely crumbling.

My feeling is that Fujino is trying to please both audiences, East and West, Cien and Patreon.
At Cien they want a hard humiliation path to Kirito, but Patreon fans and many over here want a redemption path Giga Chadito, that's why i think Fujino is doing that now, and mind you he keep talking about that the choices are based in what was already pre-established in the story (where IDK) just to justify his changes now.

Well, yes, I agree. In fact, Fujino started justifying the changes in Kirito's personality just a couple of updates ago. "A gift for Kirito," etc. There wasn't a word about it before. Perhaps something influenced Fujino's decision about the endings. Or we're thinking too much and it's just the last, deep breaths before Kirito's moral death.

Well, in the end, it turns out that Kirito doesn't have a clear awareness of Asuna's betrayal. In the first case, there were photos without faces (which Inoda apparently took), and in the second case, he refused to believe it himself (although his guess about Liz's selfish goals was correct).
