Hey guys, I cant get the Animated Parts of the Gallery to work. Its just a still frame nothing is moving. And nothing changes when I use the Arrows. Is there a fix for that?

Absolutely ancient post but I was scrolling through and I noticed this, anyone know if this was fanmade or if it was an actual concept JaShinn made at one point and maybe scrapped? Or whether a revised one of it is in development? I know we got that "Hidden" animation with the horse in the barn, I'm wondering if this turned into that or if we'll get a game over scene for it in the future. (I noticed it's an EXTREMELY old art style that doesn't line up with the current look of the game, hence why I added the second question)

Have you updated to the latest version? Could be an earlier bug, as I haven't had that problem.

Suppose we'll have to wait and see if it's a hidden tidbit in the full release, that horse being a one and done enemy feels a bit silly, I could see him being a boss later, maybe that will be its game over scene, who knows. If not, then I'm not too worried, game is still entertaining even outside the h aspects. (I know I'm probably alone on that one but I play games like these for story first and horni second)

I get what you mean here, everyone has preferences. But you gotta accept that there are games out there that needs a lot of work in order for you to get the good stuff, and there's games like this one, where's there little to no effort in order for you to get the good stuff. Not all games needs to have some sort of difficulty on it's gameplay, the developer can just invest it onto the scenes rather than just the gameplay itself. I'm not saying that the game's gameplay is not good, i mean... It's decent, it's too easy to be honest. If you don't like the game, then stop playing it, it is as simple as that.

well, i cannot judge a product if i dont use it right? that thing of "if y oudont like do not play" is not a very good thing to say, i am not saying about difficulty, but this game feels so rushed, VERY rushed and the only plausible reason this game take time to update is probably the animations, my point were that this game have very little gameplay, atleast the gameplay loop is very bland.

I forgot to make this comment when the latest update first came out but wow I did not expect the sudden Magical Girl interrupt. Like I thought it was just some random parasite/virus fucking shit up and then the MG shows up and I had a literal double take.

Have you updated to the latest version? Could be an earlier bug, as I haven't had that problem.

I am using .88.4 and Windows.

When I delete everything and also the Registry entry, and try to start a Video it plays the first Part but as soon as I try to use the arrows it stops and doesnt work again. Even when I choose a different Video is still shows the Video I tried to play before.

Wait wait wait, wdym by video? Syahata's is a game, an application, not a video. Are you trying to open it with a random program? It should just be as simple as click and run once it is extracted.

It's because you're judging the game on a basis that doesn't fit the genre it's trying to be in. It's like saying Umineko is mediocre because the story is good but it's lacking in the gameplay department, or saying Doom 2016 is bad because the main character doesn't get satisfying character development. This is a coomer game, It has simplistic gameplay because nobody buying this wants to play the next Resident Evil, they just wanna see a schoolgirl getting fucked. I understand your point but you're expecting too much from a game and a developer that aren't trying to make a product for your needs, you can say you just don't like, noone can tell you otherwise, but stating the game is mediocre because you didn't get the experience you were never meant to get is unreasonable.

It isn't just the the most basic thing It should have, It's the only thing It needs to have really. As for the generic sidescroller, it just not being complete ass is a damn good accomplishment considering the standards of H-games, again I agree that as a game It's pretty barebones, but so is (and forgive my blasphemy) great games like Night Of Revenge which is really just an okay metroidvania/souls-like. Judging these games as proper games is not really what they're meant to be judged as, they're usually made by one horny asian dude so that other horny dudes can play them and fap and not much else.

I wasn't at all affended or angered by your initial review, I'm trully just trying to explain why for other people a game like Syahata that delivers what they want and doesn't screw up in a way that devalues what they're here for, the porn, is a great game in their eyes. Ultimately I do believe your review hold merit, as does everyone's else, but the way you're looking at the game is wrong.

A general rule of thumb is higher number equals most updated. This also applies to lettering.

Though lettering isn't used all that much. It's more for quick extremely small patches/updates. Really minor stuff. So 0.88.4b is the "highest".

As for content, it's all .4, there isn't much (if anything) that's been added. Another user however, made a mod for the game that allows for continuous fucking if caught (like certain enemies), so there's that. And it's for .88 iIrc.

saying that, I do think an adult game that does play like the next resident evil with sex scenes of this level would actually be really great.
