To be fair, both @JoeyGucci and @Ankhesenamun have some valid points.

Virtually all the improvements in this series of NLT games (and there have been improvements with each new game) are technical improvements.

There have also been attempts to add some spice to the gameplay but they mostly fall flat, if not universally panned (fishing game in ToN, anyone?)

For me personally, the area that needs the most improvement (the story) is the area that has shown the least improvements. For example, an MC that behaves like someone with an IQ and EQ that approaches average instead of at a toddler level would be a good start.

Nah, the games are fantastic, there's nothing that needs to be "improved". There's only one thing that needs to come back and that's incest.

how do i get wires ? i follow the walkthrough, but it seems i was locked with the story progression with the NPC, that when she is done, and we back to free control our character again, the room was guarded back by the NPC, which hinders me from getting the wires ?

I haven't yet seen anything from Ankhesenamun that I would call a valid point, which is why I posted my questions to them in the first place. All there is so far is the vague claim about a formula that's gone stale. I look forward to seeing something more robust in the way of details, if they have such details to provide.

Of all the devs I've come across on this site, NLT, without a doubt, has the most consistent update schedule.
There's nobody else that compares. It's every 2 weeks without fail for the past what... 5 years or more?
I understand that no one is immune from criticism but when all you've got to say about the dev is incredibly vague and amounts to 'I don't really like it anymore', you don't have much of a point.

If you're no longer a fan, cool. Door's that way, don't let it hit you.

Here's a lil cheat (works with other RPGMZ games too)

- You can edit variables/items (money or even make yourself unkillable by setting shield juice to 90)​

Although there is no need for that since game difficulty will scale enemies up and down but eh ​

To install just unpack/paste the content of .7z in game directory *where Game.exe is*
When in game use CTRL+C to pull the cheat overlay up/down

It looks like you have hidden files that you cannot see. You need to change your settings in Windows to get access to the location. Follow these steps:

1. Open File Explorer.
2. Select View. Go to Options and select Change folder and search options.
3. Select the View tab. In Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
4. Select OK. All hidden files and folders are now visible.

Just click somewhere else on game screen(preferably move your character)so that cheat overlay fades(becomes slightly transparent) and... That's it xd .Then you can turn off the overlay with same shortcut (CTRL+C).

Just downloaded and played update 27 and have two questions.

The Oracle says that I have done everything but there are two things puzzling me

1) I am now Strength=8, but if I go into the desert and try and move the rock marked with an '8' it says that I am not strong enough.
2) If I talk to strangers they are still saying "If you want to get better at something you need to read books about it" as if there is something still to do

Bonus question

3) What happened to the numbering system 27043 suggests that this is the 3rd update in April but it is the second, why isn't it 27042

Here we go again. I should open an over/under on how many times I need to repeat myself before the game ends.

But I'll give you bonus points for noticing NLT fvcked up on item #1. That one is squarely on NLT's shoulder, not yours.

As for your bonus question, it happens once in a while, when there's a bug fix release in between the 2 scheduled releases. It's nothing to worry about.

NLT changed the way he developed with this game. Beginning-of-month releases have main story progression, while mid-month releases only have side contents that do not progress the story at all. As such, all mid-month releases will start with the Oracle saying "Your story has been completed for now, but there's something you're missing."
