I answered this, if you read the FAQ I linked. I will be as explicit as possible:
- The focus of the next update is the development of the completely separate NTR route.
- That route is planned to include Netorare.
- Netorare has such avid haters that it has to be placed as a completely separate route and that is the plan of Uberpie.
- If Uberpie changes that before the next update - he will say so in his discord.
- You should join his discord because you obviously have questions and concerns about upcoming content that only Uberpie can answer, if he chooses to do so.
- Last he mentioned in his discord before this update is that they were focused on this update and hadn't planned out fully what's going to be in the coming update that is focused on NTR.
- Uberpie hasn't communicate here in this thread in years.
Official patches which provide content that violates Patreon TOU also violates Patreon TOU. Third-party, unofficial, patches that the developer cannot control what others do (such as Skyrim and 2077 mods) are not seen as the developer violating Patreon TOU.

So even so it's just the beginning means, it'll take not less than a year to start seeing some content in it.

Yes, but he has stated in his public discord within the last couple months that it won't happen. He has no plans of creating any content which would put his income with Patreon in jeopardy. He also has stated that he plans to stay with Patreon for the foreseeable future.
no he means there was a lot of potential for ntr from the start of the game but aside from one scene there wasn't any progress towards ntr scenes, just like Tiffany a character everyone wanted to see from the start only this update she got attention

I think it will likely be very fast relative to the existing content, that it will for the most part take the form of dialogue changes and he will just repurpose existing art assets, after all you rarely see the MC, just his cock, and how long does it take to paint that black for Darnell scenes?

I think it will take as long as the last update, personally. At least as long as this one. Don't forget the holidays are also coming up.
Along with the Art, the Script needs written, approved. Coding for the separate storyline starting from the beginning needs created. Also, Uberpie is slowly updating his artwork from his older style to newer.
Late February to April is my optimistic estimate.

So anytime one of the animations is supposed to play during sex scenes it just shows a black screen instead. Dialogue proceeds normally and the still image CGs come up after the animations finish (or even mid animation if applicable) but the animations themselves are just not loading for whatever reason.
In fact I had assumed it was just placeholder until I saw the video walkthrough for the latest update and noticed they had the animations. Any idea what is wrong?

I was talking about the Whole NTR route Vs The Whole Alpha route, I think individual updates will be released at similar intervals but the amount of story covered in each update should be drastically greater, IF they are reusing the same scene assets as I suspect they will
(and obviously not counting stuff like animation upgrades).
Edit:
Why would it need extra coding? the vast majority of content will be shared even if they make new NTR sex scenes.

He wouldn't. He doesn't release anything here. He only releases on Patreon. Subscribers leak the Patreon-only downloads here.
Someone would need to code a mod and manipulate existed artwork or draw new artwork in similar style and write a script that sits completely separate from the Unity edition Uberpie creates. Then that person could upload the mod somewhere for download. Both the game and the mod are then downloaded by one user and put together per mod instructions (it can't just be content already in the assets of the game that get "unlocked" - that also violates Patreon TOU).
If he were to do it even secretly and someone ratted him out for some reason, that would put his income in jeopardy.
Things for you to consider - the age of your computer, is your OS up to date, are all drivers up to date (video, audio, etc), do you have sufficient RAM, do you have similar problems with other Unity games, are you running several things at once.
Ah, my mistake in understanding your message. My apologies. The person you were replying to was asking about when to expect just some NTR content and you are speaking about the whole NTR route. My response would have been better for him - February to April, optimistically, for the next update that is planned to focus on the initial development of the NTR route.
Yeah, in comparison, it should take less time to develop the entire NTR route as well as the entire Friendship third route than it is taking to do the Main route. Though - you and I have patience for whatever it would take - others shouldn't expect a miracle. It's been over four years on the main route, and it's not done yet. It could easily take over a year, each, for the other two routes.

I gotta be honest, this update was a smash hit in some areas and a letdown in others. Always happy to see these updates be very well polished and virtually bugless, and it's awesome lots of new assets were made, but as far as story/character progression, it felt surprisingly short. The comic-con event took up some major time that felt like a big sidequest, rather than a bigger opportunity to push the story forward. Starting from the new content, there's hardly 3 hours of content, for close to half a year of development time. Then again, I'm not a game dev so I can't really speak on how hard they're working. 
Fair warning, the save game editor linked in the OP breaks the game, at least for me. It makes it so any save games made after the edited save disappears after the game is exited. They work fine while playing but not after closing and starting it up back again.
Also, does anyone else have a black screen they can't progress past when doing the "What is Darnell doing on the sports grounds" quest? Any solutions for that?

Aren’t the Mary standing pictures unique to the gym scene? I haven’t played the entire game in a while but I don’t remember them being used anywhere else.
While they’re brand new the Violet scene is also unique I believe. I also am assuming that the new Tiffany scene in the club will have a different outcome on the NTR route making it possibly semi unique.
For sure he’ll rehash assets as he’s already done and have some intersecting scenes between routes. There might be a fair bit of unique content in the other routes though. With the current dev time that may be more of a curse though
