1st one is kinda why I'm complaining, more so because ppl are giving this dude money monthly for him to rework it 2 times now. At some point you need to just focus on working with what you have and publish whatever update/release you feel is correct. 8 months is just ridiculous tbh for content they havent even seen.

Unfortunately, Uberpie got a motion that allows him to continue being a dick and displeasing his patron/subscribers. His white knights keep defending his bad decisions as a developer, claiming that he uses AI to produce Taffy Tales in HIGHER QUALITYYYYY and consistent art, which sounds like their coping mechanism because they can't accept the reality that using AI doesn't always bring improvement and isn't well received. Even before the Redux began, Uberpie was consistently making false promises and nothingburger polls. Not to mention the previous 2 mega updates were ass.

And AI assist doesn't even help the production time in his case. I can be fair that the AI does make some character sprites and BGs got tweaked. But as for CGs, it's always miss with absurd proportions and inconsistent artstyles/render especially when it's not based on hand-drawing CG/concepts. And some of brainless people here will just defend Uber by bitching about "AI is a tool" "You need to be open minded about AI art" "Human art isn't perfect either". Such a fucking lame argument

Patreon doesn't ask for shit. That doesn't even make sense in an insane, tinfoil world.

Netorare has been intended since DAY ONE of development.

There is a FAQ about the three intended routes:

From the discord FAQ: Taffy Tales currently has planned Three Major routes.

• The main default route involves the MC either seducing, 'stealing', or romancing the other characters. You will not get cucked.
• The second is the 'Friendship' route which involves an alliance with one of the villains of the game (Avoidable).
• And the third route is 'The 'NTR route,' but this is entirely avoidable, you will be giving a very direct question in-game whether you want to enter into that route, if you say no, you will not be asked again.

It was a major focus, it's kinda one of the kinks it appears he personally enjoys. But Uberpie pulled it and stalled development of it at least partially because of a very small group of vocal players that whined and cried and bitched and moaned and cajoled and threw tantrums saying that if he continued, everyone would pull their support of his game. So he obliged them.

Funny thing is, the one update that included the netorare route was the biggest jump in paid subscribers over all of the updates of the game - in hard numbers increase, in percentage increase, in $$$ increase.

What I gathered from the discord is that it’ll be used in the credits. Since the post itself describes it as “cringe”, I can imagine it has lyrics describing the events of the game. Strange direction to go in a game centered around CGs and text, but it’s not my money

Patreon doesn't give a fuck about milking. Prolly he was reported for incest and that's a no go for Visa and Mastercard, so Patreon fucked him. Anyway, uberpie's SS page recovered what he lost with patreon. Also now Steam money will be another economic boost.
I don't care about AI, I care about milking and this dude is milking the shit out of his game.

There's also the NTR and the Non-Con. Any one of those could have dinged him off the platform. Let alone all three.

Seems like somebody must have reported his game, because there are a lot of games that have same or worse than this did. Patreon rules also prevented the beast stuff from being created.

Yeah, I've often wondered this, because as an individual dev and as a member of a team, I've never had access to so much money as the guys who often stall out and just coast off easy money. That's so weird, I'd get bored. It's almost like this porn game curse that befalls any person who starts making a livable wage. I'd love to be able to do this full time, that's the goal, I couldn't dare just sit back and let pointless money roll in. Some sorta Vow of Renouncing War ass cycle all these devs seem to go through though...

There is no such thing - data is saved to your windows registry. Use the save code and then play the content that is considered new after that save. Full save complete.

Most likely it was a disgruntled patron who was tired of waiting for Uberpie to release an update or not releasing content that they wanted or was tired of Uberpie focusing on certain characters or because it was a Wednesday (in other words, for no logical reason).
