Maybe I'm foolish to think this, but I sincerely hope that after this hurdle of a release comes out, they can actually iterate on updates faster. That's probably the biggest reason I don't really hate them making a remake. I'm hoping that this year of development has lead them to a position in which they can iterate on updates every few month (<= 3).

Yeah I’m doubting it too. Even the project’s future looks shoddy with the loss of LostRaven. But, it’s no skin off my bones as pirate. Would be nice though if they could get back to their old quota.

Id be inclined to agree with you if it weren’t for LostRaven vague-posting here that he “chose to be happy” LOL. Who knows what that means, but from my perspective it doesn’t look good. Plus, if that were the case, there’d be a better time and place to convey wanting to work on your own projects then just leaving a day before the original release date, no?

Yeah, but if you look at those earlier releases with the short time spans, there wasn't much content included. It's always a switch off - long time between releases with (hopefully) significant content or short time between releases with minimal content. As development continues, what felt like a deluge added at the beginning is like a drop in the ocean after several years. Both developers and fans fall into that same trap.

The evening of the original release date - 8:51pm UTC 28 Jan 2025 (when it was obvious Uberpie would not release the update on that day...) -- makes an even bigger impression.

Yeah I agree. Maybe <= 3 months is a stretch, but at least pre-season 5 levels of dev time is what I’m hoping they can return to. That felt like a reasonable amount of time with a sizable chunk of content. I think there subs would agree with that as well and they’ve been handed a pretty shit hand this past year. But, it’s Uberpie so let’s forget him saying that “season 1 of the redux lays the groundwork for future updates, meaning we can iterate faster” lol

Tiffany, although Mary and Becca are close behind, love me some thickness.

I love Mary. She was the reason I started to play this game and support it. I love her character design, her thickness and her curves. I do wanna see her more in the NTR with her and Darnell bc i think that was the focal point of Taffy Tales popularity (I may be wrong about that, but also that's how I found out about Taffy Tales was bc of that gym scene lol, and also Sara too). many people hated it lol. I understand that it is a controversial topic but hey each to their own.

I feel the same way about Mary, but the NTR Route was a huge disappointment to me. Just a nothing burger that leads to nowhere and doesn't make any sense. That may change in this or future updates

As much as I think that UB is a professional procrastinator I don't really have a "right" to complain. I was never a supporter of his on Patreon or SS. However, the people who are actual supporters don't seem to mind much considering the amount of subscribers he currently has on SS, so who am I to complain? When the update is finally out I'll play it. And I'll be playing other games from other developers in the meantime.

FUck me its really been 7 years i remember playing version 0.22 and really liking it now after 0.95 i don't bother playing the new updates they usually have like 4 extra scenes for like a year worth of work.

It was always Uberpie's idea from day one of development to have three routes: main, netorare, and sharing with an adversary-turned-friend. Always. You can read the few Uberpie posts in this thread from the beginning.

lostraven has never liked netorare in Taffy Tales, before he was brought on to be the main writer (he was contracted by Uberpie about 6 months-ish after Taffy Tales was listed on F95). Again, you can go back and look at his posts in this thread.

NTR was planned from the beginning, probably by UberP himself. Back in 2018 when I first played the game, it was suppose to be right at the start of the game in a now deleted scene where the player could choose to take medication to suppress Red (NTR) or ignore the medical advice and keep Red (Main Route). There was some small bait scenes here and there throughout the years but the NTR route was not developed until the arrival of season 5 in early 2024 when its premise got reworked into the NTR route we can currently play. Also, there were always NTR fans attracted by the future route pushing for more content.

As far as I'm aware Lostraven did not write anything for the NTR route and all his contributions were to the Main Route. If you play his game Parasite Black you can see similar fetishes and sex scenes to the Main Route in Taffy. And by the way, there is no netorare in Parasite Black.

I had a similar experience. When I first played Taffy there was only a handful of scenes. I liked it and saw a lot of potential but I soon moved on to other games with more scenes and longer stories. Then early last year I found this thread by chance and decided to play the new update for old times' sake and I loved it, it instantly became one of my favorite games. Still love the game but it took some getting used to the glacial pace of the updates.

You should just wait, anyway. "season 1 redux" with revised content for the first third of "Taffy Tales" is in play testing. Don't start playing this until it drops here.

Who are your favorite characters? I personally like Sarah the most, especially her storyline.

I think almost all the main Characters/LIs have a great story arc with the MC.
Starting with Clara , she went from being Blackmailed by the MC to loving it.
And it's wasn't just regular brain-dead porn corruption bullshit. It was legit good emotional writing.
Like the Peter helping her with money & her husband. AND She asking Peter if it was just sex between them or something more. It was excellent writing. Later it got a little to BDSMish for my taste but I really hope they continuing writing the story' as they did in the 1st part of the game.

Same with Becca & Priscilla. The interaction between Becca, Peter & Priscilla is nothing less than excellent story' writing.
The way at 1st Becca thinks of her relationship with Peter as a normal romantic thing, but with Peter messing around with Priscilla and her finding out about them , she thinks to herself that Peter is with Priscilla and just messing with her and as she tries to leave Priscilla and Peter both stop her and engulf her into this weirdly wholesome threesome situation between them.
Priscilla being somewhat dominant, Becca being submissive and Peter being a Menace.
It A1 writing.

Also , MC's relationship with Priscilla and how it started from Priscilla being this high nose bully putting an act and Peter chipping away that facade slowly leading them to develop their relationship and her slowing being open and sharing her insecurities with Peter.

All around, the 1st part of game is a masterclass is Writing, Art & Erotica.

I really really hope Uberpie can continue and give this game a fair & grand conclusion it deserves.

And sexual violence isn't what steam declined the game upon. That was likely Patreon. For Steam it was the "gray area" of the school setting.

Violence was an issue on Patreon. On Steam, they felt that the game's atmosphere resembled a school setting (even though Uber insists everything was changed) and that the characters didn’t look mature enough.

What if uberpie make it into TaffyTales II UNI YEAR?
So he concludes the TT1 with a big cliffhanger, then makes tt2 with uni instead of school, keeping all characters on their places?
