So why should he care?

Well, then he has to fork over $2.000 per year for pro and he is golden. If he has pro. If he hasn't it's 200k which he easily clears.
When it went over $100,000 - if Unity tracks Patreon sufficiently - he was expected to at least move up to Unity Plus for $400 per year, and it's limit of $200,000 per year before having to move up to Pro. It's only been in this last year that he may have gone past that on Patreon (after a sustained 5k or more subscribers each month). With his revenue over $200.000 isn't he obliged to buy the pro license anyway?

He cannot. That would create more trouble: a cease and desist, a civil lawsuit, and then, yes, a possible criminal charge. Because, see, he isn't developing this and keeping it to himself - he's a publicly known entity marketing his product. It's not hard to find him and then to serve court paperwork.he can just go pirate and save himself the trouble
I don't think you have to worry about that. The annual price for Unity Pro is less than 1% of what he has brought in through Patreon in the past 12 months.if game costing to much money he might cancell it alot people that made games did same thing or just gave up made new games
that's good news to hear good game alot soap opera stuff but still good gameI don't think you have to worry about that. The annual price for Unity Pro is less than 1% of what he has brought in through Patreon in the past 12 months.
It's all funny how all of a sudden people are worried about Uberpie's income on a "piracy" website.
It’s 200k in a year. Is he really making 16k per month? If he has pro. If he hasn't it's 200k which he easily clears.

Without getting too far into the weeds, the answer to your question is "yes." If you want to know more, there are several other threads already created on F95 about Unity's new plan.wait does the new unity thing counts for games like this where you don't have to install anything?
Any opportunity to make more moneywait does the new unity thing counts for games like this where you don't have to install anything?
You must be new here.Nice game, when can we expect next update?
I agree with you. I do believe that people should use the search engine more frequently.I also recommend learning to use the Search available on every page of this website, after setting up personal preferences to change the results order (as shown in my signature).
Enjoy the site.
There is more than just art. Even if it were just art, a conscientious artist would take more time to edit and fix any of the AI generations created from the artist's original works as models. Though UberPie appears to be barely doing that (if at all). More than just the art, people still have to write the storyline and code the game.I really enjoyed this game because of the art. If everything is now made from AI now, it feels like someone could just build a bunch of loras off of each character and create their own scenes instead of waiting 6+ months for a new update.
Welcome to the site, though from your comment - I am thinking your account is new, but you've been on this site before. So I've tried playing this game now, and I wanted to start a new game, but the thing just picks up where I last left off, I haven't played in a while, and I can't seem to start a new game.
