Does something special need to happen to advance Hinata past her "Substitute" event? According to the walkthrough, I just need 10 RP with her and Sleep, but it never triggers. At all.
That event also requires the Main event: Onsen Ladies to be completed first which may be your issue.

I would just like to qualify that if people are new to this game, it has a lot of content, and it will probably take the average person likely a week or more, depending on things like having a life, reading speed etc. I would not worry much about the hima patch if this is the case, because it will take quite a while to get to even use the said patch, if your playing the game (reading) the way its meant to be played (read). It is quite a fun story, updates always add quite a lot of content imo. Hima patches seem have got longer between game releases. It is a shame that the patch can't be integrated into the game, but patreon and those retarded decisions. enjoy the game if new to it!
