Thank god we are done with the simulation stuff. It was always a miss for me. Creepy, pointless and contrived. Fun update though.

The game is not allowing me to advance to Season 2, even though I used the recommended Season 1 save?! Is there a bug? Thanks.

Ran into that issue as well.
What I had to do, was start Season 1 again and load my old Season 1 save. Resave it, then exit and start up Season 2. Then the game loaded fine for me, and I was able to load my regular save.
No idea why it didn't recognize my season data until I did that. I haven't changed anything since last update. But at least it was a quick fix with the above. Hope it helps.

Not sure if it's the same bug as the one others are getting but in the conversation on the ship Lilly is saying i left the simulation running and if caused Eva the get knocked out. I deleted the simulation. No other references by anyone to the Eva getting knocked out or the simulation being left running other than that one conversation.
I also do have the bug where the conversation with Eva keeps looping.

Having the same issue. I run multiple playthorughs (individual romances with each love interest) and I destroyed the simulation in every single of them. I tested 3 romances (Ziv, Lily and Thyia) and in all of them Lily mentions the simulation despite me destroying it.

Yes, it is. Same as the PEBCAK reference. I also say that Layer 0 trouble exist too (physics troubles that you can't solve - yet).

im having an issue where I got back to the ship after the most recent events but the node with eva won't go away after the conversation and im just softlocked in there
