Can someone fill me in if I missed something plot-wise. I'm at the start of episode 20 and the crew all seem committed to travelling to the prophecy planet location, but I don't understand the motivation.

I mean I understand the trope of the heroes going to the place the villains need to do their secret ritual to complete their evil prophecy and needing the hero/heroine present as a piece of it, but it seems like the usual our motivation to stop them isn't given, heck our goal mostly has just been survive their manhunt of us.

To unterstand what's going on? To learn why Eva is so important? To beat them in their conquest? To make sure we prevent them from doing whatever they have planned?

I'm really not sure what you're so confused about... nothing tropy about it at all.

I'm really not sure what you're so confused about... nothing tropy about it at all.
Oh I didn't mean tropey as in a bad thing. Tropes are perfectly fine tools to use in writing.

Just I didn't pick up on any motivation (other than just to learn more about our enemies that we already were operating on) and no one seemed to consider not going to the place that the villains would want to go to next should they learn of it's location.

I guess what caught me off guard is that there wasn't a "why" brought up in that little powwow with Eva, Celine, and Nadya. Double backing the game mentions a "we spent days discussing it" so I assume it's meant to be assumed the plot skipped that point of deciding if they are to continue pursuing the prophecy.

Actually, Episode 21 circles back to remind you of a bit of this. I've wanted to answer this question for myself as well and I'm not entirely sure yet, but I do have to finish my new playthrough.

All they know so far is that there is a prophecy about Eva that the Confessor follows without mercy and the Soverenity is also very interested. Interested enough to grant Agust council membership and kill god knows how many people and invade entire systems in a genocidal rage.

I think the question "Why?" isn't really valid. We have seen that the arm of the Soverenity reaches far beyond their borders if they want.
The MC and his crew wouldn't be safe anywhere so they have to act before the Confessor and Agust kills them.
If they were to stay passive and do nothing their enemies would win.

Alright thanks, I honestly did want to just make sure I wasn't missing anything. I guess what I was looking for was the scene where "Camran" and crew have their moment where they cement their desire to chase down this prophecy. But between your response and AMRFTY's I get that it wasn't there (and maybe not needed). All-in-all really enjoying this VN.

Being on a family harem route with only the sisters and giving the announcement that Eva was pregnant in the family meeting was a bit rich.

EDIT: Ah I spoke too soon, there was a serious more meaningful conversation with the one outlier after I had the foursome with the sisters to celebrate knocking one of them up.

There also seem to be a bug where saves aren't detected properly.
You mean the Season 1 saves right? That one is on my list to fix. Looking at the code I've written, the second season application always checks for a Season 1 save to be present, even if you've played episodes of the second season already and have deleted the first season saves for some reason. I'm going to broaden the check to include the detection of Season 2 saves.
