No dev should EVER try to cater to everyone, that would become impossible very quickly. They should just make the VN they want and then people can play it or not.

I actually like the romantic idea that ideally one can find happiness without invasive surgery, and I don't think that one can fully become a biological woman anyway. At the same time, I wouldn't be turned on by someone that looks like a man. Pretty chick with a dick? Ehh, why not, can still be attractive. I guess we all have our boundaries somewhere else, both in fantasy and in reality.

, by introducing futa / trans characters the Dev IS trying to cater to everyone (or at least target those players who enjoy that kind of content). In their previous game (which I believe was a work of passion) there were no futa / trans. This new game looks much more like a commercial project then the previous one.

If you take SL, as written before, it is incest only. Story almost nothing, even adding a "magical" country/island where you can marry multiple womens including your mother and sisters.
This one have better graphic, sound and animation, but it has a story that might not be for everyone. If the dev really wanted to try to make a cash cow, then it would be a simple harem game, where the whole plot would be "do you wanna fuck?".
Also, last but not least, it is fully optional, so as long as that is given, the dev can add whatever he want and I don't care - and even if I care, dev should do what he want.

Sadly, I can't edit the tags of this thread, as I'm not the owner. So I'm not sure who added the tags currently listed.
As for including futa and trans characters. I actually planned on including a trans girl at some point in Sisterly Lust. I think I initially planned on having her join on Belugio. The cast was already quite big by then and the group scenes were getting more complicated, so I ultimately didn't go through with it. For TFTUV both Ziv and Raene were planned to be included from the start. For my next game, I'll probably reduce the core cast entirely and include one trans girl. I have to juggle a lot of people in TFTUV and it might be nice to focus on a smaller group in a smaller story for a while.

You can either report the thread and ask them to add the tags or you write ticket and request thread ownership. Or both....

I know, my advice was where you have control over it (Itch and co. and even your own website) add both tags.
I've reported the OP to add, at least textual under the genre spoiler both tags separate, but it didn't happend.
The forum has only "futa/trans" tag that is used for both - and is not clear if it is the one content in it or the other or both. Will change, with the new forum upgrade soon™.

Thanks for taking the time to answer some of those (quite obvious) questions and weird spins on your motivations to create the game.
Also yeah i imagine having to check all the variables when the game has ten possible love interests becomes a mess after some time.
Anyway, love your game. Always nice to have some more space scifi stories out there.
Maybe before the heath death of the universe.
