Sigh, In case you dont know how to run jar files directly do
Bash:
java -jar TalesofAndrogyny.jarYou can either move the .jar into the same folder with the executable OR expose javaw.exe into your system's PATH env var.
If game still crashes on java 17+, paste the output of the above command into a spoiler tag or use a pastebin.

After many many years i still don't know how this game's combat mechanics work.
Spam A until you fall down, then get up and spam a, rinse and repeat.
You don't even have Armor Crusher available anymore. You can spam, but every armored opponent is tanky.

Spamming A still works cause you will stack bleed on them and then you can let them fuck you as the bleed slowly kills them

You downloaded from the WIN link and don't see the EXE file after you extracted? Then you've done something wrong or your AV is giving you shit.
Bruh, does this game even have a story? Like, I start it, get fucked once and game over? WTF?
It has a story mode, it's quite self explanatory on what it has.
Adventure mode is more of a "sandbox", but it does feature a more "non-linear story".
