It's not, but it's a bit on hold as we're also working on a Unity metroidvania small project that we're planning to release full as to not fall in the eternal state of incomplete yet again. There will be a demo soon though for those who wanna test it out and give us some feedback.
The main issue for this decision was that I really felt like ToS was becoming something of a "must endure the game mechanics so I can watch the porn" kind of game, something I really despised. I.E: the resource gathering mechanic, or the common enemies fights. So some serious core changes had to be done and it would take a lot of effort, trying to cheat RPGM restrictions.
So we decided to work on a small project for the time being on a better game engine with a pixel-art style approach as we slowly kept on working with the remaining girls to recruit for ToS.
I'm sorry to those few ppl who were waiting for the game update to release during these months, I promise I'll try to make the wait worth it. In the meantime here's Vekki, our new character, hoping you can forgive us.

Thought so. I haven't figured a way to get it to work on Joiplay. it did work for a day awhile back then it broke all of a sudden.

I'm getting this error everytime I launch the game on JoiPlay, and the funny thing is, that never happened before

Sooo the game isnt dead at least and the dev seems to be active both in the priv disc AND this thread so pog.But i want to ask 2 things:1)When will the game be fully released and 2)Will it be on the big boy platforms like steam and/or dlsite orrrr whats the plan?

I asked the dev if he wanted to make a status update regarding projects but i'll answer to the best of my knowledge for now.
1. Tales of Symmeria is currently on hiatus as the team works on a different game so there are no current plans on any releases
2. Symmeria will always be free so no steam or dlsite release, For other projects they may explore paid releases but as of right now no current plans.
These things may change, I myself am not a dev in any means but I do speak with the devs on a regular basis.
