It could be worse. But it's unrealistic to expect users to get it.The riddle and the safe number doesn't match at all. Either the dev doesn't know how to make a riddle or he/she doesn't know how to solve one. (1st: 7's reflection in a mirror in any angle does not give 7; 2nd: there is no last number in number line, its infinite; 3rd: double of first(7) is not 4 (simple math))
7 is fine. It's cultural but not hard to guess first.
"Pair that stays together" doesn't make sense for 2. "Staying together" how?
Double 7 is 14. But this mostly makes the user doubt the 7. It's not obvious to drop the 10s place and not like.. carry or something.
9 is the last of the digits, so that's totally fine.
But, agreed: the famous quality of a mirror is that it flips left-right. A "reflection" implies it. Makes the user doubt 7 even more, or wonder if you mean "reflection" across the symmetries of the panel.
