The toilet roll conversation was all jokes buddy.
One of the fixes for a patch was facing the toilet roll in the right direction so we had a couple of pages of toilet roll jokes.
That and the wife makes a comment about the toilet being blocked so it's like toilet roll constantly cock blocks you.

I don't understand the logic behind removing my progress and starting from scratch.

Things change that don't work with old save, it happens when games are being developed. Code changes that isn't compatible with code in the saves. It causes corruption which is how a lot of people end up with bugs or it just won't work at all.
If you don't want to keep starting from scratch then i'd suggest waiting until it's finished.

even starting from scratch (and using the credit card code) the grind took maybe 25-30 minutes if not less to access all the new content - so it wasn't a deal-breaking endeavor. The game allows you to roll back using your mouse wheel in case you choose a decision that causes you to lose points. I actually read all the lines (except maybe the professors lines at the college) because dev's dry-humor is evident and I lol'd at some of them.
as mentioned before, I provided saves (Page 65) if you don't want to grind and want to get straight to the new stuff. I'll probably do that going forward.

if you go down the path of not being friends with dealer there is no way to get the MC pills; currently this pathway has not been fleshed out yet but dev plans to incorporate this pathway at some point.

I actually worked it out between the time I asked that question and it got answered, It seems it did not trigger until I went to the school with meghan. Which took forever since I kept drugging her isntead of befriending her, it got me a super high romance, but fairly low affection.

It's not. Start new save (1.5 or higher) and after 30 days you can initiate sex even without pills (if your stats are good) and without condom.

Right now my rendering PC is an i7-7700 with 32GB RAM and a 1080TI. I have a secondary PC that I use while rendering(rendering really cockblocks your PC) for things like Discord, coding, writing, Photoshop, shit posting, watching porn, etc. That one is an i3-4330 with 8gb RAM and a GTX 1060.
The first several thousand dollars I made off Patreon all went back into the game, either in the form of hardware (I got that 1080TI and have yet to play a game on it), software, or art assets. That trend largely continues to this day (I'm eyeing a 2nd 1080TI at the very least), although I am trying to save up money for a move out of the backwards-ass town I'm currently living in.
As for Ryzen, while it does great on render benchmarks, I'm using DAZ and the Iray renderer so it's all about your CUDAs, the CPU would be largely irrelevant.

Unfortunately, as of the current version you are doomed to always be cockblocked by the wife in that scene. It was actually meant to be a one-time-only scene but became repeatable through a bug. I left it in because there was no other good way to raise romance with D. Now it's become so iconic I guess I have to leave it in and come up with a way to prevent the cockblock from happening, expect that in one of the next few releases.
