"I was looking forward to an update."
Is more you anticipated an update in the future.
"I was looking forward for an update."
Sounds like you are looking in front of you for an update.

Wow, you know summertime gets to keep its 7mo updates, gumdrop being gumdrop, ManicMinx Gets to Minx, ICC goes on vaca and never comes back.

So with no patreon page meaning no more game, how the fuck is that nit picking?
Those games that don't have updates for ages still have activity on Discord or Patreon. Devs that go radio silent for 3 months get the abandoned tag.
