If developer doesn't have money required to hire artists for his game, or he cannot draw or even make 3d models, and in same time we have cool tech that obsoletes these problems. Why i should stop making something? Look, in fall(september i suppose?) of 2022 major breakthrough in 'transformer' models made possible to make pictures without artists. Artists also found potential in this tech. They accelerate their workflow with help of AI.Its not that people don't see the 'potential' of these AI programs, but the "You drew a picture in six hours, I recreated it in 6 minutes. Why aren't you proud of me!" mindset is anathema to them.
Its more the fact a that a person with years of experience and even higher study earned over a lifetime, who fostered and refined that skill since childhood to be their chosen lives profession can have their work be simply scanned into a database and reproduced with as much ease as a casual google search. That concept is obviously and understandably very insulting to any professional artist.
Personally, I just find it lazy
Yes indeed if someone don't like images that i provide. Modders and players anytime can change that. Thanks for idea, i really think about implementing this(if it possible in Twine game). It's been nice, if you create an option to add custom img system like in Strive for power and Strife of Conquest.
People create they own custom body's and portraits.
IMAO it's bursts game popularity.
Based and redpilled.I disagree, it'll mean more games instead of crappy devs making patreons and taking 8 years to get 5 renders in a game. You can't stop progress, embrace it or the industry will move on. One day drones will put me out of my career, and I can't wait.
For a moment I thought someone posted my game but we just used the same png file for the lust crest, haha
Honestly I get what you're saying but I disagree completely. Its not that people don't see the 'potential' of these AI programs, but the "You drew a picture in six hours, I recreated it in 6 minutes. Why aren't you proud of me!" mindset is anathema to them.

Well fuck, there go my plansbut as for me, If this art wasn’t drawn with the blood of a newborn child, there’s nothing wrong with it.
You story with artist makes me misogynistic. I imagine how you felt...For a moment I thought someone posted my game but we just used the same png file for the lust crest, haha

I didn't want to create a new one since I already put so much work into 20 versions of it.
Honestly I get what you're saying but I disagree completely.
I'll preface this by mentioning that I married an artist who loves my "work". (not the porn part, she's pretty prude, but she loves the images I edit. I always show her the before and after).
I did hire an artist for my game. 4 months of paying her, and I received not a single image from her (always had excuses for being late). Yet I'd always see her on steam playing games.
On top of that, it was almost daily she'd complain to me about AI art.
So after 4 months of her doing that, I gave up. I switched to AI art.
Now I can't speak for other devs, but at the very minimum I do spend effort drawing parts of my image and photoshopping. I may not be an artist but I do spend several hours sometimes a couple days editing this AI art to where it can almost be mine. Sometimes I'm taking real photos of hands / background scenery / etc and using photoshop to merge it into my AI generated image and blending it so it looks like it was always part of the image.
Sometimes I just need to draw a hand to fix the mangled ones, or a leg because it's randomly missing.
On the other hand, I think it gives people who can't afford to make games due to art more power to create stuff, even if they don't bother editing like I do.
Well fuck, there go my plans
Hey that's the ultimate goal for AI and robotics, making life easier by liberating us from the mundane tasks we have to do to earn our livings. And I eagerly await the day they invent a perfected onmi-flavored nutritional paste so I can finally hang my chefs coat and focus on learning to play an instrument... Wait, AI does that already... All right... Obviously cant do art... Voice over? Nope...One day drones will put me out of my career, and I can't wait.
Sounds to me like you got grifted from the get go, why would you even make a second recurring payment without seeing so much as a single piece back? Each commission I've paid for was negotiated 40% up front and remainder upon delivery. Permitted to being worked on openly on public stream and was within a few days time (3-4 days on average), and usually modestly priced to equate to less than a single days minimum wage's hourly rateI did hire an artist for my game. 4 months of paying her, and I received not a single image from her (always had excuses for being late). But your at least still picking up a pen and touching things up, which is leaps and bounds more effort than I've seen most doNow I can't speak for other devs, but at the very minimum I do spend effort drawing parts of my image and photoshopping. That... Is a bad excuseIf developer doesn't have money required to hire artists for his game, or he cannot draw or even make 3d models, and in same time we have cool tech that obsoletes these problems. Why i should stop making something?
Asset sizes in character creation are meant to be maxed on average size. One of the main features in the game will be asset expansion. And i must mention, players can hard limit it in options(currently not implemented). With limitation option feature i satisfy many people who like specific thickness of each body part, and those who like hyper sizes. But these features in future releases. With images of course.I pause my game to criticize flat to the average body...
WITH NO BIG! (I ain't like BBW (not my fetish) but seriously the characterization is stuck on average...)
I'll edit this comment later when I find something interesting... or just outright cheat my (character) way to averageness into bountiful tiddies at the start of the game
I'm not sure when I noticed she was on steam all the time, but I believed her the first couple of months. The 3rd month I started to suspect she was just making excuses, but since she's a friend I've had since high school I was hesitant to confront her...Also I kinda hate confrontation with peopleSounds to me like you got grifted from the get go, why would you even make a second recurring payment without seeing so much as a single piece back? Yeah, I'm sure there will be plenty of games coming out with mangled fingers, a random titty in the wrong spot, etc. That might be acceptable for a porn game, considering most of the games just use stolen porn gifs / etc anyways. But I am hoping to make legit games in the future. My first goal is a metroidvania. But your at least still picking up a pen and touching things up, which is leaps and bounds more effort than I've seen most do
agree, need more content like that doujinI definitely think it's a bad idea to upload a game when almost nothing exists yet, even just a few more days working on actual content probably would assuage a lot of early comments. Also, try to find an English writer or proofreader, as someone said earlier, it's basically a requirement for a game based in text.
As for content suggestions, I would love to see more "unaware mind-control" where the girl doesn't know she's being ravaged by tentacles. There was a really popular doujin for it and I think it's a relatively untapped market:You must be registered to see the links
Interesting idea. I think about implementing something like this. Actually in my game there is Church faction which really, really don't like carnal depravity. I think add some 'nonconsent priestess corruption' feature. Really thanks for content suggestion.agree, need more content like that doujin
Sup, thank you for feedback. This remaining week 0.1.0 drops out with images, new mechanics, new scene and most importantly for you, text highlightingThe concept is nice, and the writing is definitely adequate. I'd look into doing a little bit to make dialogue stand out though, even if it's just coloring text.
