Spires have no attack cooldowns. But they can't request more ammo while ammo is flying toward them, so it depends on the distance generators are at.

Are you on EXTRA mode? I just double-checked to make sure it's finishable.
You might just be forgetting something, need more Immortal towers or building Spires too early.

It'll be so much funnier if there is lore. Like why does the 'magical girl' attack the tentacles? The tentacles are probably baffled by this surprise attack.

Tentacles did nothing wrong, right?

I just remembered this game randomly for some reason. It's really fun with nice art.
Not sure why it isn't mentioned here, but you can partially decensor the game if you delete v2019.05.15.F2_Data\RelCen\veil7.dat. The x-ray is still mosaiced, but the other part becomes decensored.
