my only real complaint after trying to demo is when it comes to combat, if there was something I could hit to tell laura to only target the person I wanted that would be nice, as well as a tooltip for when your mousing over the option in the menu that gives a short explanation about what it will do. such as when you mouse between the different phases it tells you that laura will do more attacks (unless I completely misunderstood the phase mechanics) as well as a possible damage out put (not really something I think is needed but would be nice to help plan with)

You just like to overdramatize the situation, and comparing a developer with Ubisoft is probably one of the worst insult you can do. Different martial attack types got different chance to change target between phases. Charge is on target mostly and kick will be more random. Finisher moves are always on target. More phases mean more attacks, it's already clear. The damage output is hard to add as there are many random events at an attack. But I will add some attack stats as a different UI later. Game got a bug which Laura does not get improved by her stats like HP. It will be fixed next build. Thx.

The animations are only made for the Ritual segment of the game. The combat isn't animated.

i keep getting stuck on the loading screen, it just full screens and then flashes random colors
As they are weird bugs, not reported before, I cannot help as I am not sure about pirated files and the download quality of those random cloud websites.
All I say that, the game works as intended and even there are some problems for few people, we solve it at discord.
I don't say it's perfect and will work every computer in the world as it's at development state but I never release a game breaking or content missing/not working ever. Even it happens, we go for hotfixes fast.

I am putting this here because some people just gets a problem somehow and they say "it's not work/broken" but it's not. Mostly download/unzip related problems and as I say again, as the source file you use is not from me, I cannot do anything even I wanted. You try to download a +6 GB file from an unknown source from a random site, everything can go wrong, including the change of the file itself could be altered by uploaders.
Ok im not here to fight but this comment really makes me want to state 3 things:
1.- Why you assume that they pirated it? Maybe they had the orignal demo from before, i think this is just a rash attack against the purpose of the site itself.
2.- You as dev, using this page, wont be providing support because is pirated, yet you are still here for the feedback of people, so basically you go against people who play the game obtained from other sources yet still receive their feedback, hmm not cool.
3.- I downloaded the demo from itch and still had the same issues as in the famous pirated content, so if people is constantly saying that there is an issue, rather than blaming that is pirated, maybe, just maybe there is actually a problem to solve.
Again, im not here to fight and i think the game have potential, just i feel that this comment really went over trying to state a point and just was an attack in disguise

No, it was not an attack. I clarified something.
1. As I said, if they got the demo and the problem was at the demo they downloaded from itchi.io, they may tell their problem at there or discord, so at least I would know they downloaded from there and we got a safe game file to talk about.
2. If they pirated and get it for free (or we can use different words but the mods do not like it), I cannot help them for reasons I already told, technical and my ethical reasons. As they get it for free, in the end, they got my content and asking a feedback would be "fair" at least. As people here do not pirate only to get it free but to see what the game is and but believe or not, I got some great people from those type of players, I even gift them the game, because why not? If you think, pirates get everything but the dev should not get anything is "cool", maybe you should think over it a bit more.
3. I think, I could not explain, or you just think it's as an attack and just did not read properly because of anger. I said, ofc there can be bugs but I cannot do anything if the downloaded file is legit or it did not corrupted somehow. For those reasons, itch.io is safe and I use dropbox for game sharing. I cannot lose time for a pirate for pirated content just to see that the file was corrupted at first place. Your Demo got problem? There is a read-me file. Still got a problem? Come to discord, server or PM me and tell me your problem and we can check stuff one by one. Not here, not any forum, we need live chat for best. This is for your own sake, to solve it fast.
I don't need to attack you. My eng is not good, I am ex military. I am old. I tell things directly for both good and bad stuff. Please do not take everything somehow direct or harsh looking as an possible attack at your life, it's not good. If I want to attack, you will know it. I just don't like it people just open the game, without properly downloaded or unzipped, the game fail to load and they cry out "It does not work, fix ti". There are many people out there checking games from this forums even they don't intent to pirate, so for that reason, I am telling all of you, the game is working. Sometimes little tricks needed, but it's working.

Thank you first of all! Now here, as a bug report example, you said the inventory got problem. But I don't have inventory at demo or last build at all. There is character UI or Belt inventory you can use at different UI's. Which one is that? Can you I see some SS or video record? Did you check read me? This is first time I hear that bug but it does not mean it's not there. It works for me.
Veilwolf can return to check or maybe never comes, maybe he replies after one week when I already forgot and move on. This is the reason I want a real chat. It's how I work.

Knowing the original ver doesn't even have differences with the demo, there is really not much difference tbh xD

I might just be stupid but is there no real good way to prevent Laura from killing off enemies with finishers? I feel like getting captives is borderline impossible because all of the enemies end up dying either to excessive damage or Laura doing a finisher on her own volition
The name is "finisher". If you want to capture someone, lose low fight phase. With next build it will be easier to capture.

As a game creator myself I know updates can be a fickle-bitch its kinda like tetris you gotta find the right fit
If you refuse to support me because I don't support piracy of my own content, it would be a weird reason to not like a creator, tbh. If you push yourself so badly to hate me, I really cannot do anything. Even I try to explain myself to everyone here, I fail it time to time clearly.
If you got a problem with me, you can tell me directly here or elsewhere. I just not met with anyone yet to tell their problem with me privately here. People prefer to turn their personal problems into a show rather than tell them directly to the person they are talking to, which I find not so mature.
