Might be the incest patch, clean installed the game no error messages, closed it and extracted the incest patch to game folder and got error messages/ An exception has occured messages

Evermore and Unraveling August are still going, just Stray Incubus is no longer going since the dev had to relocate.

Evermore was abandoned in favour of an unnamed alternate format that's likely never going to release. August hasn't been updated in almost a year and a half and the dev has pretty much every red flag for permanent abandonment.
If anything Stray Incubus has the best chance of seeing an actual update if the new dev team that took it over takes it even half seriously.

yeah I deleted my post since I went off of my previous knowledge and double checked after, Evermore seems to be abandoned now August I can't find definitive either way now.

Fan-made patch has been retrofitted by me, and should work with no problems.
If you do have problems, let me know and I will apply fix and update!

Normal saves are incompatible with the patch, and vice versa.

Yea the game was like a 10 but now its more like a 7, still really good, wish i saved the first release.

For us newer fans, could you give a summary of what changed since the first release? I saw in the changelog there were some reworks but the finer details are unclear.

Hello yes. As I said in my original post, normal saves and patched saves are incompatable.
What I mean by that is that if you played the game previously without the patch, and saved. and now you downloaded the patch, installed it and try load that save it's not going to work. You need to load patched saves with a patched game.

Is it normal that there is no rollback option anymore in version 7 ? version 6 had it and without it it's really annoying, especially when you have to start a new game and want to skip but then skip too far and can't rollback...

I had no issues with my game saves. 6.5 saves to 7.0 worked just fine for me.
