Some events have fixed dates. It's actually enough to skip time til Sunday, then the next event triggers automatically.

I am blocked at the "handcuffs" task. I have seen it addressed many years ago, but not matter how much I go forward in time nothing happens. Any advice? I only used the money "cheat"

Go to the shop owner and try to buy the handcuffs repeatedly. You may try to buy them to different day times. I actually tried it with your save games twice at two different day-times and once the quest was completed after I bought the handcuffs and once it was already completed when I got into the shop-menu, so I guess there is some kind of bug, but it is bypassable with some persistence.
tried for a few weeks to buy every possible time. nothing happened!
I have also the bug that every time I buy then automatically I work a shift at the shop... can you pass me the saved file just after the quest starts?
I really have a problem with the shop; now the flowers and the body paint are causing me same issue as the handcuffs.. any advice?
No, not really, all I do is:
Press Checkout:
Press Speech Bubble:
Press "I want to buy..."
Then I'm in the shop and choose the items, I want...

I do the same but does not work... i will skip and start to another episode because it is annoying!
