Sweet. On his discord (I was there until I left mid-year), he said that he had a proofreader version of the story near last Christmas, so I have always hoped he would release it.

No no the update IS done but Crispy has internet issues and is at work. So he's going to be going to a Internet cafe after work to get the update so won't be for awhile

Can I be brutally honest? I think the developer is still half-assing the update and just needs more time to finish it. He has no excuses to use, like claiming his internet is the problem. Can't you all see that it's sus
? It's now been at least 72 hours since last Friday, and there still hasn't been a stable internet connection(source). He mentioned he was going to go to an internet café after work yesterday, but it seems like he’s still at work, or maybe every internet café is closed. It's fair to say that unexpected things can happen, but there’s no need to create false hopes and set deadlines, right? frustrated, but I'm also looking forward to the upcoming update(It seems like this probably be the last update for this visual novel)

I DID NOT said the story being END and looks like far from it i just say hypothetically speaking looking at the current phase and Dev's absence and all.. i just can't say that word in that dreaded yellow bar out loud that's why i said this probably being the last update or so...

To be fair, I recently had an outage due to weather conditions a few weeks back. Power was on after the night ended but internet service wasn't active for a few days. It could've just been Spectrum being Spectrum, but I'm just saying it's not out of reach for Crispy to not have good stable internet. That being said, it is hard knowing we can't do much but to wait after it's missed it's deadline. But hey as long as it eventually comes out, I'll be okay with it. As hype as I am to see the game finally get updated again and as long as Crispy isn't radio silent like how it was for a while, I'm in no hurry to play.
