According to the link, that game was completed more than 3 and a half years ago...

I took a look, and the problem apparently is the format of the images, they are in "JPG" and the script is looking for the image in "WEBP", a solution that so far worked for me, was to change the format in the script where a video starts.
Edit: There are other images that are in "PNG".
Edit 2: To solve the problem, just change everything that is in "WEBP" to "PNG", except for two that are in "JPG" in the script on day 1.
P.S.: This only works for those who use the mod.

Even if it does, it's not like it's going to be done this second anyway....
The person who makes the patch was gone months last time and came back and ended up updating it.
People also could just update it their own self too, it's just text document after all...

I am very confused. I stopped supporting this game on Patreon because I understood that the schoolgirl content was being removed so Steam would accept it. Was I wrong? Are there now two different versions in development? Is there new content on this update compared to 2.8? If so, why does the change log say "N/A"? What is the plural of mongoose? (Actually, I know that last, so never mind.)

I guess you just noped out of the thread after being misinformed, eh?
Steam version is its own version, Patreon/SS is its own version.
There was a vote a few months back to either move to one version to speed up development time or to stay with 2 separate version and slow development time.

What game? Denos? Yes, it got a rushed ending just to give the completed tag and dev change project, but it never really got a ending. A pitty, was a good game. The dev probably got the same problem as me, a very creative mind with many new ideas per day, and then one of the new ideas catch our attention, but we are in the middle of a game already, so... Yeah. That's why I don't work with long term games yet. Need to work on this issue first.
I do hope to see this game completed with a good ending.

TBH it would be better if devs didn't start a new game before finishing the one before.
