Look there's sex in the game which is more that i can say about some games, also he's been remaking the game making it look nicer when he could've easily ended it and made another game. And let's be honest, no one play this for the story, there's a thousand game on this site with the same premise. So cut the guy some slack..
You know what? Scrap that. The new Abby model is horrendous

Just a heads up I got an error message when unzipping the file from pixeldrain, but it resumed unzipping despite that and the game opened

Maybe it's just my PC, or maybe one of the files got corrupted or something

edit:

it says "images_041_animations.rpa" is corrupted

Well, people don't owe devs a tug just for making a game. You've put something out that people have a right to praise or be critical of and, unlike your own moderated platforms, mods aren't here to save your feelings.
I never expect unearned praise, nor do I want it.
I never asked for my feelings to be saved, nor do I tell my mods what to do. I guess you're referring to my discord?
Story driven VN's being reduced to grindy sandbox games with next to no story content in new updates, that's a problem.
My change to a sandbox game was due to the idea to let the player choose what story they want to progress in first.
It might not be perfect and needs some improvements here and there, but I don't understand what you mean with grindy?
Criticism isn't insults, but insults can still be criticism. And all criticism IS valid, even if it's not the direction you choose to take your own game. If you can't accept the fact that some people aren't going to like what you've created, you shouldn't be putting what you've created out there in the first place. Most people aren't trolls, they literally just want you to succeed bc they want to enjoy the time they spend playing games. When you have a bunch of people all voicing the same complaint, you can be sure the underlying issue is a very real, very big issue. You've probably got 10x the number of people voicing that complaint feeling precisely that way and just moving on to something they are enjoying. And when those voices disappear, you've typically completely lost your audience. And this holds true for every creative outlet, not just games.
This whole statement is objectively correct. Ubisoft being a good example.
That being said, I've never said that criticism are insults. You're taking my one-sentence reply out of context and adding assumptions that don't reflect my stance.
And no I'm sorry I don't get 10x the number of people voicing that complaint.
No one wants any dev to fail. We want every game, every tv show, every book, every movie, every streamer and every YouTuber to make great content. No one wants to come away from doing the thing they love feeling bored, disappointed, or ripped off. And yes, even when someone isn't paying for a product, they're still investing their most precious currency into that thing - time. Time they could've spent on something they get enjoyment out of. For those people, there is no sunk cost fallacy - they don't try to justify the money they've spent, you just get their raw feelings for better and worse.
Most people sure, but I wouldn't say everyone.
It's easy to forget that, but I'd suggest any dev that is hurt by criticism to ask themselves why they'd complain about a game they're playing. I can guaranty that the reason people complaining about your game are doing so for the same reason you'd complain about someone else's. What you need to ask is if you're drawing out that response intentionally or if you just made a mistake that you can fix.
I mean sure. That's just a general statement...very common knowledge.
However, your response seems to assume a lot about my perspective based on a short comment. Instead of drawing conclusions about someone's mindset, it might be more productive to ask them directly about their intentions or experiences.

Anyway, to put it short and so you get a better idea of who I am.
I do take honest and fair criticism very serious. I don't treat them as insults nor are my feelings hurt over it.

But a lot of comments here are not criticism. A lot of false statements. Even your statement "update taking more than 3x longer than the dev stated". There's nothing to back it up. Where are the receipts?

I don't need an echo chamber of people glazing me either. I want to make the game better. So I come here sometimes to see if there's anything being said that's of value. And there is, but it's hard to find nowadays.
For example a lot of people are criticising the mc's personality or the choices not having a meaningful impact.

So I've been working on that. Branching it out more with the new linda update I'm working on right now. And overworking the dialogue system into a stat system that gives the player the control to shape the mcs personality.
To be fair it's not good enough yet and it needs a lot of improvement, but I like giving players the opportunity to test these
new changes I'm making in response to the criticism.
Which I make polls for if they like the new system, what they don't like, ... etc.

I hope this clears up some things.

is there a way to change the relationships so they stick for the replays? I applied the cheat, but in replays the relationships are back to defaults.
