Lol, you are taking this way too seriously, chill dude.
Am I not allowed to play the game in a way I want to?
I wanted to go against the obvious proposed decision to see what will happen.
I took a risk, curiosity killed the cat and my MC ended up dead. Game over.
No big deal, it was an interesting experience and, in my opinion, revealed an unfortunate game design decision - something that could have been solved differently, not with a "game over" but... the author has every right to do with his game whatever he pleases, it's his game.
My part was just to play it. I did. It ended for me.
End of story, no hard feelings, lot more other games to play.
Why are you so bent on dissing me for merely posting my experience with the game?

well me personally I love this game
game over screen was not a big deal for me
I actually thought it was funny
this is an amazing game and I can't wait for more but there's nothing wrong with not liking it
Oh, don't get me wrong, the game was good for me too... while it lasted
Now, it seems someone won't let me off the hook unless I elaborate on why I said "unfortunate game design decision" so...
1. she was really intrigued to know wtf MC did to her (curiosity beats murder instinct)
2. she did threaten to kill him if he doesn't spill the beans
3. killing him was not really an option because her curiosity and need to know would not be sated so, at best, she should have knocked him out or hurt him badly to prove a point and try again until he spills the beans
4. no choice, he spills the beans
Now, this scenario somehow does not include "game over", just an additional screen and choice or not even giving MC any real choice.
Unfortunate game design decision avoided. Everyone is happy and the game goes on.

I have to side with you on this one, that was clearly an illusion and not a choice, the MC had to either impersonate Tekashi69 and hit rat town or die horrifically by getting his heart ripped out of his chest like a puny upstart which he is but where's the plot armor at? That was a joke..But in all fairness you can't expect all the players to have that submissive mentality where you always crack under pressure, in real life if vampires existed and I was living in the shoes of this MC I would definitely pick the mind control option and I don't think she would kill me tbh. That game over scene should have been stat dependent otherwise the dialogue choice is just an illusion and it forces you to be a pet for this daddy girl.

And, you all know me by now and already know what I am going to ask... do I get to become an evil monster and subjugate people, especially women and convert them into slaves? I noticed it is not tagged with either corruption or mind control, my forte, and while it looks like it could be my cup of tea with monsters in it, I'd like to just ask before downloading and playing through it all. Thank you!

Non-sub MC just needed to say one word - STOP!
Could have been done faster than the time needed for her to rip his heart out and would certainly provide a far more interesting plot armor for further story development then - GAME OVER.

I explained that I had nothing against the character she just wasn't my type and I wish I could be her friend instead and this one guy started to be very rude to me and said if you if you don't like it go play something
else
the Developer is not going to change his game or remove a character because of you and I politely explained I never wanted to change his game or remove a character
I have a reading disability so it's hard for me to explain myself but in that situation, I chose to be as politely and friendly as possible
no matter how much someone is being mean to you always remain calm and polite as possible
it's hard but it can help you and the other person come to an understanding or the other person would look foolish and leave you alone
never fight rudeness and meanness with rudeness and meanness

I don't think so, there are some mind control but not the kind you're looking for. This is more like a Vampire the Masquerade VN than one porn power fantasy.

Hi Anax, big fan of your work. Saying that, and knowing that, I can say this isn't what you're looking for.
It's still great and a lot of fun, and there are elements of MC at the moment, but nothing similar to, for instance, your work

Ah, I see. Yeah I always downloaded the mod on VtM Bloodlines that let me control the humans and keep them in my apartment as slaves and such and then possess their bodies so I could play as a stripper and such, but I know what you mean. Fair enough, my search continues!

I think there can be some human pet/s for the MC in the future but right now he's just a neonate learning the ropes.

Guess my humorous sarcasm didn't come through. Since the tone of the original post was aggressive I went for the aggressive comedic response, but alas. Even included a meme on the end to make it doubly clear.
Tbf I see the merits of both sides, however since I am quite familiar with VTM, which this is clearly taking more than heavy inspiration from, it was completely logical that a newly sired vamp couldn't stand up to a more powerful one which is under Celerity, ESPECIALLY while trying to use a discipline which has vocal components. My current theory is that we simply have Dominate, but our progenitor is this games version of Cain (too on the nose and too obvious imo) so we get to use it on other vamps as well, but that is not important for this discussion.
Honestly, if there was any kind of way to survive that encounter with that option I'd be in your position: calling it absolute bullshit, as it would clash heavily with the established lore and the character we are playing as.

This update was a very poor turn in what could have been a good attempt at a vampire story.
I do not believe it is our place to tell the author how to write his story, but the events of this story, and the poor writing in this update, as well as the fairly unprofessional end of it, just leaving you hanging with nothing to do, have ended my playing of this game. Not referring to the game over. Referring to just sitting in the apartment after you have done everything you can do, and there being no end of update screen, or anything else.
I support the games I play, and madmate.games was pretty close to me becoming a patron, but that is now no longer a possibility.
Rather than tell the author where they lost me, and probably some other folks, I invite them to write me a private message if they want my opinion and input. If they want help on actual story writing, I would be interested in that as well if they feel that they might benefit from it. I AM an authority on vampire stories and fiction, and I definitely have a far more interesting and agreeable idea of where I think this should have gone, but it is not my story.
I saw a couple of other people complaining about this episode. For me it was more of the fact that this episode in particular sealed the deal for me.
Anyway.
