It is definitely AI CG. Also, there are some inconsistancy in art style. Some look like 2D animation, other look like AI filter from real porn/image. However, the art for armor, potion are amazing (at least from the screenshots). I'm not sure how much "game" it would be, or just VN with some choices.

Hi there - I'm Trude, one of the writers for this project. This is really frustrating. All of the art has been commissioned to be hand created by artists, but I think one of the actual *artists* commissioned to do some of the backgrounds might have been using AI and matt painting over it. No straight AI was used in this project because Kamti 100% supports artists - this call was coming from inside the art building and I don't know what to do about it at this late stage. The rest of the artists have all been doing everything by hand, including the animations. We share your concerns - AI is a tool used by business to cut artists out of the creative loop, and we absolutely oppose that. I'm not sure what to do if it's the *artists* using it. "No AI" was at the top of the design document xx

Hi, Trude here!! I made another reply, but just to underline - "No AI" was Item One on the design document, and artists were commissioned to create everything. I think one of the artists have disappointingly been using AI in their work and matt painting over it, but we've commissioned an amazing team of artists, which explains why there's a couple of different art styles seen. The game is a rogue-like dungeon crawler with story elements explored in a VN-type format. We've been working hard on it, I hope you enjoy it xx
that's awesome, and also really underlines why AI "art" is so utterly awful in every possible way. It's not just stealing from artists, robbing them of work, and wasting huge amounts of energy, now it's even making people dismiss ACTUAL good art? shit is the absolute pits
also, sidenote, but if you want to avoid this accusation, you might want to ask your artists to tone it down with the rim lighting a bit. that's usually the main thing that sets people's AI art alert off in my experience

We know from their previous game that they claim to be drawing sketches, and then have the AI "improve" it with stuff like... colors and such.

I'm not sure how to discribe what seems to be wrong with this image. I bielive that this is an genuine art. However, part of it looks hyper-realistic, while part of it looks more like hand drawn. It feel like "AI touch up/filtered". If I had drawn this image, I wouldn't make any part of the image looks more realistic than it should be.

Viewing the images shown on OP, seems like AIcg, it's a hunch.. Maybe I'm wrong and I am not a connoiseur to discuss this without a doubt... Maybe (I don't accuse him or her) the artist cover thoroughly the AI assistance with an own work...

Its hilarious how the Anti-AI art people have become such huge condescending snobs about all art.

First, I like "OMG, that is amaging!", then I learn that it had some AI involve. Being fooled enough times, make me question almost everything.
Did anyone try the game yet?
Looking at the ratings of their other games doesn't really inspire trust in me that this might be a good game.

I think i recognize AI when i see it. was not a 100% sure about the first picture in the preview pics. Then i noticed the fingernails, rather detailed, don't you think now look at the length left hand, right hand . I guess a human drawing in such detail would not make such a mistake.
