Development Update - 06/04/2021

Alright...I need to change this!

I've found the point where I want to cut the game off, I have ( probably ) another 50 or so renders to do and then that's where I'll be cutting it off. However...in my attempt to make the game a tad more lewd I decided to add in a couple of scene with a few characters changing, just so there isn't no nudity in the 1st release. Anyway, long story short...well, just look at the image below and you'll know what needs to be changed :p

I remember someone telling me to give the characters a tad more of a curve and I was like "Nah, it's fine, daz has a decent default curve" and you know what, it doesn't.

I'm not gonna give her a massive ass though, just a little curve, enough so that I don't have to go back through every image with her and change them :p

dont be shy on back curves Cell...disproportion is ok, yet not if there is too much of it (unless thats someone kink).
translated - bigger boobs, bigger asses...if not for aesthetic, than for the balance:lepew:

Lol, any input you have in valued and never annoying :p

I also do agree that bigger assets isn't always better, but with a flat ass like hers I think it's needed here :p

Development Update - 10/04/2021

Oooooof, massive fail on my part :cautious:

So basically, things have been going great, I have like 2 more sections of work to do which will be like 20-30 images and then that's episode 1 finished and I can work on doing the coding...however, I have noticed a small hiccup.

Normally when I design my characters I do everything at once, including the genitalia, but for some reason this time I opted to not do the genitalia with the initial character design and now that I'm at the stage where we need to see his pepe, the one I wanted to use can't be used with this character due to a skin issue...

So my options are either give him the penis most devs use which is that massive over sized one, I can use the Daz3D default genitalia which with this characters skin looks like an 80yo guys penis :FacePalm:or I can redesign the whole character and replace him throughout...yeah.

So, due to the fact I don't want to use the oversized penis and I want to have a normal penis, it looks like I'll need to redesign the character, which sounds like a task but it's really not, I'm happy with the characters design, just his skin needs a rework, the hard task will be adding the new character into the game, which will take me an extra 2-4 days depending on how quick I can work.

Has to be done though I guess. I was hoping to have a release for mid April but given the fact I have no clue how to use Ren'py I might need to push that back to early/mid May :unsure:

Either way, I'll keep you updated and keep the previews coming :p

Having mc with tinynormal equipment just to please a few #tin..normaldicksmatter supporters hardly can be good idea, imho.

Don't get me wrong, not gonna go for some tiny pepe, most devs use Dicktator asset for the dick and it looks soooo unrealistic, I personally prefer XY penis and it looks a lot more realistic, can still give it some size and girth though.

Development Update - 14/04/2021

I've now finished adding in the new MC, or rather changing over his skin, it's really a good job I did it to be honest because it gave me a chance to go over everything once again because I found quite a few issues, mostly with lighting and some clipping so was able to fix that.

As for art I have 180 images done so far ( not rendered ) and I'm on to the last scene now which should be about another 20-30 images so almost ready. I've started rendering on my 2nd machine as well so once I've finished this last scene ( probably finish it tomorrow ) I can start putting the game together, code wise. Although, before I do that I do want to design a new banner for the game & also create a start menu...which I think might be the hardest thing I have to do xD

But yeah, things are going good :D as always, he's a little something.

Tiny little update here, no major news really, just wanted to let everyone know that it is looking like we'll be getting a May release, just because I can only render 10-15 images a day and there are like 200 images so it'll likely take me a couple weeks to get them all rendered, could probably do the math to get the actually amount of time but I'm far to lazy for math :p

That being said, I do plan on coding the game while they're rendering so that should speed things along a little.

it can be forgiven, as long as the reason behind that is you took an extra time to make Elaine scenes in WTHI perfect:p

I'd say the Elaine scene turned out pretty damn good :p we all know it's the writers who make it perfect though :p

Development Update - 26/04/2021

Been a while since I've done an update so jumping on to share what's been happening. As expected, I'm now working on Ep21 of WTHI so development of The Cabin has slowed down a little. It hasn't come to a complete stop though which is what's important!

I have run into a few issues with the art though, there was a few scenes ( mostly in the cabin ) where I couldn't test to see what the lighting looked like because my garbo PC couldn't handle the cabin asset and any characters so I had to free-ball it. For the most part, the lighting does look decent so that's good. But there are a few scene's that are either to bright or there just isn't any lighting at all :cautious:

I've been fixing these lighting issues in my spare time & rendering them on my 2nd PC while working on WTHI so like I say, not come to a complete stop.

It's looking more and more like a May release the further into it I get, really wanted to get it out in April but I don't think that's possible at this point. Once I get this first release out things will start to flow a lot smoother, mostly because I won't be breaking my work up into section. What I did for this first release was create all the renders, once they were all created I rendered them all and once they're all rendered I started coding them, this method of doing things to slowing me down so going forward I will be setting up the renders for scene 1, then once that's done I'll render them and while those are rendering I'll setup scene 2, then once scene 1 has finished rendering I'll render scene 2 while coding scene 1...if that makes sense :p

But yeah, all is going well (y)
