Really? I bailed on that game when it became clear we wouldn't get such an ending despite being prodded into multiple relationships by the npcs. That irked me greatly.Also Ace said WTHI will have a non-canon harem ending to but it won't be part of the actual game, more of an optional ending if you will

I've not heard of any of those, but I don't really want to do something that's already been done, granted, me doing a horror story is nothing new, but I'm hoping the twists I have in mind could make it unique enough to feel fresh.this is the one thing i don't understand about small developers of adult games. probably the most successful VN around is fate/stay night which has seen global success, spawned 3 movies, 2 anime series and countless fanfics. it has very little sex.
surely less 'porny' is the way to go? certainly what i would be looking to create if i had the wisdom to programme and/or animate my stories. all the top rated VN's have a story that captivates with either a brilliant story (fate/stay night just 1 example) or is very well written (kara no shojou i think its called is a bloody good example. 50's japanese horror/detective VN)
i honestly don't think it matters if developers create a slow burner, providing the writing is like a novel instead of the picture book writing so many decide on. of course this is just my opinion, but it does seem like food for thought
however, if you are looking to make a money spinner, might i recommend next creating something like brothel king or jack o' nines but with better art? THAT would get a lot of english speaking attention for sure
most brothel games i have played have ripped or terrible art and the few i have seen with half decent never got finished.

Yeah the perv parts were my attempt to make the game more lewd, I've since learnt this wasn't needed so going forward I will keep to my guns and keep the game how it was originally intendedSeemed pretty good from the start. Didn't know it was a kinetic novel though (thought we would of had choices, seeing as it is not tagged as one). But was enjoying it up until the part the MC just suddenly became a typical pervert like most games. Was hoping he would of been more mature, as it seemed that way at first, but once at the cabin, he just turned into a creepy pervert really fast.
Either way, guess I'm just kind of tired of the same ol' same ol' in all these games. Nothing against your game personally, just was hoping for a more normal MC this time around instead of the usual "kid pervs on his family and lust after them" MC. Like I said, it started out that way (normal MC), but once he got to the cabin, he just did a 180 and started perving out. Would of been nice if we at least had a choice to do those things, but oh well.
Guess this just isn't for me is all. Not a bad thing, as there is plenty of other "fish in the sea" for me to enjoy. I do wish you luck with your game though! I know others will definitely enjoy it, just not my cup of tea. Thanks!
EDIT: Just realized a lot of my concerns were addressed in the thread already (usually don't read the thread before playing as to avoid spoilers). Probably should of checked first this time around so I didn't repeat what has already been said lol.
it's my first time making a game so I expected a few issues on the first release xD
The only issue with perv scenes and things like shower spying, sleep groping and sleep rape is they are very hit and miss with people playing.

That's good to hear definitely. It was a bit uncomfortable not having a choice to do those things. In an agreement with Avaron1974 about it being rather off-putting and creepy. I do like how the MC was in the beginning before the cabin. A nice guy with a good amount of maturity to him. I'm also in the process of adding in options, I didn't have a clue how to do it before but I've been working with Ace and Cheeky and I think I now have enough knowledge to do it.
I guess consider this version a soft release and a patch will be coming out in the next couple days with options
Yeah, I am one of those who finds it creep af when the MC peeps, gropes a sleeping person, etc. It's a complete turn off for me. Making that optional would be for the best.

Look forward to the update though. Definitely a promising game so far, and giving us the choice for those situations will definitely help.
There have been a few games with "Cabin" in the title but none just named "The Cabin" as far as I am aware.
