Than he made a poll so she was in, as potential LI.
Next she was removed after a bunch of complains and even death threats (from morons which wanted to fuck her) and suicide threats (from other morons which didn't want her as LI).

IIRC Emi's story was she is with her brother after a long time (saving her first time for him) and finnaly getting what she wanted (1st Emi game) and than they were on the road to this cabin, together (2nd Emi game).
Now she is back just to cheat on the guy she wanted the whole time and is with her...well that sure doesn't let her look good, or maybe the dev plans to rewrite something of the story and she isn't yet together with the her brother ?

I like the Emi games, and Emi as a character, she's a really good LI in these games.
If Emi is a LI, well that's the dev choice, but then he really needs to reworke her backstory. As is, that just would ruin her as a LI, neither does cheating and leaving her brother fit with her character imo.
I hope Emi isn't forced on us later on because I'm back at the motel right now waiting for my sweetheart to return to me, and it would break my heart if she cheats.

Yeah, if he's gonna keep her as a LI in Cabin, which is the case so far - I think he should make some rework. Because as I told Joshy - she still behaves like a cheater even if we reject her which kinda ruins her as a LI for me.
I did like Emi series, again, I agree with you - she was an amazing character, and I emphasize that she "was" - until this Cabin's update.
CellStudios You've been getting a lot of unhinged hate, so I'm going to try to be as level-headed as I can when offering this advice. Hopefully you'll make a small change instead of just entirely reverting the Emi stuff to the way it was initially. Your comment of "If you fuck Emi, it's on YOU!" in particular worries me that you have (understandably, considering everything) missed a criticism about the "choice" of whether Emi is a love interest or not.
The "character assassination" part that people have gone on about, is about this specific line.
Emi "What are your plans for me?"
*player chooses "I've no interest in her!"*
MC "You're my [emcrole] Emi, and that's all you'll ever be, I'm sorry."
Emi "Well, I can't say I'm not disappointed, but I understand."
This shows that she was willing to cheat on Jamie no matter what you choose (or, at best, that she's now seemingly in a fully open relationship with Jamie, possibly against the will/without the input of the player as Jamie). There's no option for her to only want to be with Jamie and be relieved the MC isn't interested.

Also I do find Dev's statement "If you fuck her - that's on you" silly, cause if I get it right when Cabin's MC rejects Emi - she is upset about it and she clearly wants to fuck him anyway - hence she is cheating on the canon MC from Emi series, so that one is not on player, that's on Dev.

This is what most 'Its Optional' people fail to grasp, her being willing to cheat is canon, you can play her game MC as a loyal partner and that, just because you can also cheat in her game(player choice) doesn't change that she is always willing to cheat.
Cucking 'yourself' is optional, her being a shitty character and a cheat is now part of the canon, no matter how many players that play the game with one hand, or enjoy sitting in the hotel chair try to convince themselves otherwise. Anyone that cares about characters and relationships of the alleged romance game(s) should have a problem with that....
I don't even care about the 'NTR' aspect. It just seems pretty uncharacteristic for her. Emi seems super in love with MC of the Emi games and apparently had feelings for him for a long ass time. Then she goes to the Cabin and instantly wants to fuck another guy lol.
What could've fixed everything is if he just made Emi characters completely separate from this game. Why do devs feel need to share characters between their games I'll never know
After reading a lot of comments and complaints about the game, I've decided to do 2 things:
First, in terms of story, I'm not going to listen to anybody anymore. I've always had the issue of hearing 1-2 people and thinking that's what everyone wants.
Second, I'm reverting the game back to how I want it. If you want to fuck Emi, fuck her, and if you don't, then don't. It's on YOU, not me.
I've always said I'll never abandon the game, and that still stands true now, but that doesn't mean I want to delete all platforms and work without funding while I do. I know a lot of you have no stake in the game and are happy either way and I want to appologise to those people. If you like the game, then great, play it; if you don't, then just don't play it; it's a fucking AVN; this shit isn't that deep. It's insane to think that I've actually had death threats over this shit and people threatening to kill themselves. If you fuck Emi, it's on YOU!
I'm going to see what the response is from this, and we'll go from there, but just to clarify, I've added Emi back in as a love interest, and if you don't like it, just don't play. And at this point, I'm just going to start banning people from platforms that don't agree with what I'm doing, so if you speak up and chat shit, I'm not going to take it anymore. The last couple of days have been a little rough and rather scary. I normally get maybe 3-5 people talking about a release, but for this one, I had probably 30+ telling me how shit the game was, how I fucked everything up, and for me to kill myself, which was honestly a little scary; I'm not going to lie. So, with that happening, I folded and did what they wanted and went to bed. Then I woke up the following morning to even more backlash, hundreds of people telling me how shit the game is, how much they hate me, how I should kill myself, and some threatening to kill themselves, which was even scarier, so I folded once again.
Which brings us to today. After speaking with a good friend, he advised me to just take the day off and not think about any of it. Which I did, well, sort of. I took the day off and watched a few movies, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. I kept checking my phone and seeing the odd message, some good, some really good, and some not so good.
Now, I know I said in the last post about "Fuck it, I'm going to do what I want to do and not let anyone influence me.". But even then, I was still talking shit because at the time, I was still thinking about what people wanted, and I couldn't get out of this mindset of trying to do the impossible task of pleasing everyone. I thought about maybe doing DLCs where the cabin MC could fuck Emi or another Emi game to please those who want Emi, but when it's all said and done, it doesn't matter; I'll never please everyone, and I've had to learn that the hard way.
You wouldn't believe how close I came to just saying fuck it and shutting everything down. I googled how to delete the game on Steam and how to delete a Patreon account, but when it's all said and done, I don't want to do that. I feel like the story has been lost a little, but that's just because people haven't seen what I have planned. I have up to episode 12 plotted out, and I'm really happy with some of the stuff that is coming up, and I know for a fact people are going to go crazy for episode 8!
Which is why I'll leave you with this final message. If you like the game, great, I hope you keep playing and supporting me (and I'm not talking financially; I mean with your kind words of motivation and just your general support. I try to hear everyone's feedback, whether you pay or not). But if you don't like the game, then just don't play it; leave and get on with your life. This shit doesn't need to be that deep. At the end of the day, it should just be an AVN to you and nothing more. I understand that people form attachments; I've got a few myself with some of my favourite games, so I get it, but those attachments should never let you get so angry that you threaten death on yourself or someone else. One of the people who got really angry with me and spammed across multiple platforms sent me a DM and told me how sorry he was and how that isn't the real him and he let his emotions get the better of him, and I really appreciated that apology more than you could know.
... One last message: upon reading through that, I realised I didn't actually tell you what was going on, so here it is. Back in 2022 I did a poll asking people if they wanted to have Emi in the cabin, and people said yes. I realise that I didn't actually specify her as an LI and that poll could have been interpreted as just "She visits, makes up with Hazel, and leaves," but I took it as "Let me fuck her!" And like I said, that was before her game had been released (or maybe it was just after the first game; I haven't checked the dates). Thinking about it now, even though you have the option to say no, it doesn't matter; that thought shouldn't be in her head to begin with, which is why I'm sticking to my original routes of just doing romance games. That's what I've done from the start, and that's what I'll try to continue to do. And like I said, if that upsets you, just don't play. I will be sticking to what I said yesterday about banning people that don't agree with me too. I realise I can't ban people on f95, which is why it's probably a good thing I never go in that thread anymore. I've heard it's been a real shit show in there.
