In the Developer Notes section, He said that he did not let go of the game and will return
I hope he comes back
He said that over 2 years ago and we've heard nothing since.
Dev did say he was putting it on hold since he was going to continue their education in another country, and one of the stipulations were that students couldn't earn anything on the side. I've previously quoted the dev's message in this thread so you can read it in full.

This was in June 2021, and if we consider most average education cycles as 3 years, he would still have 1 year left on this.

Dev didn't mention which country he was going to, and what type of education he was pursuing, so it's all guesswork at this point. It could be another year or two left, or it could be that the dev has recently completed the education, and maybe he's unsure whether he wants to the AVN dev life on the side once he returns after such a long absense, or he hasn't had a chance to properly get back into things.

We just don't know, so we'd have to trust that the dev will still feel like continuing TCS after such a long break.

its 1 year later and no news, gonna go out on a limb here and say its not happening bruh.
Seriously. Even if the education thing was the reason for the pause on the game, it's not like posting once every couple of months about a status update (just life in general) is too much to ask. The lack of any communication whatsoever should be your sign that this is never getting continued. Do some devs magically appear after years and continue their games? Sure, one in ten thousand or whatever. Even then, it's more often that they do a single update and then are gone again and never ever return.

Miracles could happen, and this could suddenly get picked up again. I also could suddenly be sought after by every single female pornstar alive who all agree to make themselves my sugar mommas.

Three years is a long time, no matter what.

But yes, there is a high probability that, after going to school for 3 years (or more), the dev might've lost interest after so much time away from this project.

Also, I'd agree that it's a silly stipulation to ban students from making any money on the side, even if the stipulation is from some grant/scholarship program. Sure, a job on the side might "distract" the student from their studies, but still.

That's a dumbass thing for a scholarship to force upon its students. I hope the dev does continue the story even though there's a probability of it being basically zero. Has there been any updates at all from this dev in any social media or has he pretty much been silent for a while?

I know that — at least it used to be true — in the UK that's been an issue. When I was looking at applying to law school there years and years ago, a stipulation was that I could not hold a job while at the institution. (And that wasn't even a scholarship mandate, which definitely does exist as well for certain endowments.) I'm assuming it has something to do with wanting to maintain a certain level of average marks for accreditation. If a student works at the same time as studies, there's a chance they'll score lower on exams, have lower quality research, etc. I absolutely don't agree with the requirement, but I do remember it being a restriction imposed on students.

Thanks for the reply and super lame that schools do this. As far as I'm concerned, that seems like a huge lack of trust towards the student which honestly doesn't give me confidence in the integrity of the school either.
Either way, it has been almost 4 years now since the dev has gone MIA from this project. I pray the dev will come back after school is over to continue working on this this little gem. I always get bummed when I see Visual Novels I enjoyed reading before, don't get a proper ending. :(
