Copyright protections aren't like registering a trademark. No type of registration is required for protection to exist, at least in the US. I have no idea what country he is a citizen of, though, so obviously things can be different dependent on that.

I don't think Nverjos ever said he/she published this novel: on Patreon, says that game is based on novel he/she has been working on for many years...

I considered this too but then I wouldn't notice any life sign of this game if someone posts something here (glimpse of hope). On the other hand, looking back at the events and the long time without saying anything, I am sadly convinced something terrible happened to the dev and there is no hope for this game anymore

I agree that this game is probably the best RPGMaker porn game I've ever played,pretty much blows every other similar game out of the water in terms of content.The renders could be a bit better but the amount of scenes,dialogue and world-building is amazing.

That said,I can entirely sympathize with the developer and what they've been through,but I still think that abandoning the project like this while keeping the patreon up is still a bad move.I really hope that Nverjos didn't do it on purpose and something bad didn't happen to them.As for people continuing the project without permission,besides the whole copyright debacle, I really don't know if they even can provide a story as good as this game without Nverjos.This is probably the only instance of a porn game with a complicated story I've seen where it actually works.

well you can take the relay of this game.. BUT its not ethically correct.

and mostly the fact that at anytime the dev can ask you to "get the fuck out of my game"... and you lost absolutly all the work you have done for this game.

soooo... yeah... i dont know someone who gonna work on something that can be shut down in a minute after putting time to work on (imagine if the other dev finish that game.. such a lots of work.. then BAM ! all for nothing)

in my country, it can be based on the time the thing have been released.
if you have a proof that you released the thing yourself before anybody else, then its a good proof to allow you copyright.
of cours, its not just like you write a date and voila... but its mostly some kind of private data, like for exempl, the registred date data of the uploading website specify the date you upload the thing the first time.
of course, need to be certify by the uploading website and after a small research to garantee its correct.
that wont work all time, but it can allow you to save your face on some hard conflict.

exempl, you create a game, you upload it on internet, then someone take your game, make an copyright and strike against you. then you technically can defeat the copyright because you have the proof on data (registred on the uploading website) that YOU uploaded, and soo created, the game BEFORE the other guy make the copyright. resulting in the deny of the copyright the other guy asked for.

This (copyright belongs to the original creator, no registration needed) is the law practically everywhere.

I think the thing that pains me the most is the originality of the story itself, to me its obvious that the focus was on the story. In that way it almost reminds me of katawa shoujo, which i think is a classic itself. I think budding game developers in the fantasy genre' could take a valuable lesson from this. It even has me entertaining story ideas myself. If I do something like that I think I will write the story first, then build the game around it, but story will be the focus.

Well we can only hope 1 of 2 things happen:
1: Nverjos gets back to this game once he is in a better place. (Read about his situation)
2: Some other Game developer with equal or greater skill takes up the mantle after getting an ok from Nverjos to do so.

Overall the story has great potential regardless of being an erotic game, I would personally have played this game even if it had no sex-scenes.

1) I begin to doubt it. We've haven't heard anything from him. I don't assume he has his Patreon page only running for the money. So either he has abandoned his project for all what it's worth or he don't have don't have the strength to write or change his Patreon page or informe us or...
Or the worst has happend to him.

2) I don't believe this will happen. First copyright reason and second you must be very good to resume his work without the audience thinks, best case, something is different. Worst case the autor sucks and the audience is disappointed and even if Nirverjos comes back and finished the game, the damage would be done.

Hell even now, I don't know even if Nirverjos comes back now, take and develope the game with all the same quality and passion as he has before, could the he reach our expectations?
Our excepctations can sometimes reach as high after some time thast even a *perfect* product could fail against it.

I know what you mean. Everytime this thread has an updated I whish it would be a positive life sign. But hasn't happend (yet?) and the time is working against my hope. Also no news on Patreon, so my faith for a reveaval is shrinking.

Please just leave this alone. Don't abuse the name and the IP. I love this game too and I understand the good intentions, but I think its better to be principled and leave the work alone out of respect and to avoid bad feelings, because someone will have them.

I'd love to see creators take inspiration from CC though.

what i like the more in this game is the fact we play as a female that aren't a cum bucket.
she can build relationship and doesnt have necessity to fuck all the men around to progress.
( i builded relation with the shemale woman (the first one, kind of MILF with wings)... i admit the "actual world" part is a bit of turn off to me.. but its still good to have actual choice on "who gonna fuck who" )..
almost no others game with female protagonist allow that.

Agreed. The game is still rapey when it comes to random encounters with men, though less so than the horrible standard set in these games in general. But the depth of the main characters and the effort that went into the world and story is where it really excels.

I was just sitting here in between episodes of game of thrones, (and a few shots of 100 proof vodka)like it's hopless, and it occurred to me that it is not only sad that this game is looking more and more like it is abandoned, but also this thread will eventually diminish. I noticed early on, (Though I pick and choose which threads to do much commenting on!) that this is one of the most welcoming. It is full of people that I feel I could be good friends with in my home town. I can only hope that if I am able to come up with a good story line (Which I am working on) that maybe I might be blessed enough to have people that are as decent as the people on this thread. I guess this is just something I've had in my heart for a while. I'm sure all of you have seen how ugly some of the people on many of the other threads can act. And in fact there is a few others I would like to meet, (Just so I could loosen their teeth, LOT I'm Sorry), but we all know how the world can be,...Just wanting to say, you guys, (girls and others included) are gold in my book!

The good thing I immediately noticed (with the help of the walk through) is that there is only two ntr scenes unless you choose otherwise. And even with the ntr its no full on rape unless you choose it, at least she has a choice not to be penetrated and to be disgusted by it. I play the herm version of tabitha, I like to be the giver myself, although I make her take sometimes, but my Tabi is no slut she wants to be with a acclurion noble and have her harem ( Lady Yusara AND, or her second love our little commnon acclurion girl Courtney) .
