Yea, i understand this. And it's not my intention to go all pitchfork on Westane.
As i mentioned, i've been subscribed for a while now.
Of course i understand the problems with using real photos, and i understand the decision.

I'm just worried is all.
The art style and the way it is used is not very appealing to me.

For sure. And yeah I wouldn't worry overall. Art is to spice up the game, not replace what's there. Westane is very aware that a majority of people prefer real pictures so he isn't going to be changing that this year or the next.

...first he wastes a year adding john content and not this...short survey answer: Drop that shit and continue the game!

How are people still bringing up the John updates? That was 4 years ago!

Plus, he just released a Diana update and about to release another one in a month. Either people have the shortest attention spans in the world or they become hyperfocused on one thing and ONLY that thing.

Art is a BONUS, not the standard. Game is still being updated, characters will be finished, and then the story will be written. It's not the fucking end of the world when Westane does ONE thing different every ONCE in awhile. Fucking hell.

Bickering about drawings versus photos aside: These proportions, they make no sense.

Well, the artwork is good, we can have better for sure but it's not garbage either... & personally i find more appealing drawing art than irl pictures of overused porn actors...
It's fresh & it add personality to the game.

Hope to see the full game with the option to choose between picture & drawing, i know it was a really good add for Free cities to have choice between various characters display arts.

Apart from the characters' eyes, mouths, chins, necks, tits, waists, and general aesthetic, it's really only the flat colouring that's an issue.

But yeah, I recognize that this is a necessary precautionary move, even if I find the particular style wholly off-putting.

Whoa... this game already could make a great immersion into the story and characters using real porn, I can't wait what they would be able to do with custom images since that is the biggest drawback of real porn games that you sometimes have to use other actors just to get the scenes you want. I haven't checked it out yet, but looks really promosing so hope people won't completely pitchfork and torch the dev team.

yeah, custom art is ok, but *THIS* custom art IMNHO sucks. Just playing through the last release here and frankly unless the art style changes will never play that again.

Really like the art-style.

It makes the game more individual compared to other Twine games with IRL porn actors and should be more future proof.

Only need the offline version of it.

Art images don't bother me. I'd almost perfer them to the over used porn pics and videos. I've been trying to develop a DAZ version on my own, not to take away from the Dev just to see is if I could do it..

I think the ART style is "okay". Using the ART style should allow the images to be better fitted to the scene descriptions rather than having to fit the scenes around the live images. That said, the proportions of the women are off. For most women, the hips and thighs are too big. On Sophie in particular it looks like her upper thighs are each about as big as her entire torso

Anyone else think it's weird that the MC suddenly has some kind of moral code about dosing someone (Tasha) that they're trying to "build a relationship" with? Where was that moral compass when you dosed literally anyone else in the game?

At first I was excited to see artwork attached to the game, as I am an artist who also appreciates when other artists get to put their work out into as many venues as possible. However, I gradually got more and more disappointed as all the females have ridiculous proportions that I have no interest in. At least in the real porn version there is a fairly wide variety of body types.
I'm so tired of every game being populated with breasts the size of watermelons along with huge asses and thighs...not at all what I consider attractive or erotic.

That might be the case moving forward, hopefully. Trouble is that a lot of the early scenes in the game have very clearly been written to fit the real porn available to the dev, so the drawn images are just trying to fit into those very specific scenarios, mostly by directly imitating poses and expressions from the photos/gifs. Chapter 1 is not a great showcase for the new direction in that regard.

But yeah, in future it should be helpful to not have a real life cis woman as the model for Tasha, and drawn art might be able to maintain some consistency between the various transformed versions of the MC and other characters which just using pictures of different actors couldn't.

It's a weird trap you can get caught in if for some reason you don't dose Tasha for a few weeks. Not great design.

That's pretty good. Already I'm probably gonna miss the old real-images, but with the need to write scenes around a increasingly smaller number of images and gifs gone, I'm sure we'll have more...creative scenes.

And if y'all are complaining about the artstyle, it's a separate release for a reason.
