I prefer male protagonist, especially in mage class, but only for my character.

Just finished this game and holy fuck do you need a save editor for this shit. All of a sudden the monster's dificulty just skyrockets out of the planet. The story isn't particularly good, so using the full save they posted before is a good idea. Then again with a save editor it takes between 1-2 hours.

Jezus no man! Who the heck would want more female protag games? There's already a swarm of them compared to male ones. I'm happy that this completed game turns our to be male protag.
This sounds so similar to a manga I read. The sorcerer there lost his job for being so shit that he became a dungeon master. Female knights and heroes were sent after him and he basically collected a harem of females who love cock. He kills the king and impregnates the queen and princesses. The sad part? Complete wish fulfilment with a lack of substance. It feels like it was porn written for the sake of it. As if the person used to only write NTR and decided to make a manga instead. People say it gets better later on, but just cause a female sacrifice herself to protect her penis doesn't mean they have a personality.
The downside of male protags is that you get to see less of one main girl which becomes a huge pull if she is done well. The upside of it is if it was done like Rance in his early days. Back when he was an asshole and no one liked him instead of now when he has a harem, gets away with shit and has NTR lose endings.
She doesnt do anything sexual with her. Just keeps her as a soldier.Can you pretty please expand a little bit on that? I just want to know if I want to bother playing the game and what you said so far seems to be almost one step over my tolerable ammount of NTR-ish content for a game.

I dont think that Rance served as a good example. I used to be fine with him when i was a horny teen and didn't care what happen in the game as long as there're tits. Now he just make me cringe. All Alicesoft's protagonist seem to make me cringe even though their games are good.

I like to think there's 2 types of story/porn consumers (this applies to non-pornographic things too). People that like to place themselves in the shoes of the protagonist and immerse themselves, and people who like to follow the protagonist (or selection of characters) around to see what happens to them. Basically; first person consumers and third person consumers.
Needless to say that female protagonist games, or games that lack a protagonist, are pretty hard to enjoy for guys that belong in the first group. On the flip side, following a dude around all game can be less interesting for straight dudes in the second group. It's not really about downsides and upsides, mostly just preferences revolving around how people like to consume their porn or stories.
Also you can easily just have a game with a male protag and just one heroine with all the screentime to acheive your 'pro' of a female protag game. Which isn't that uncommon.
There are some games that do that like the NTR childhood friend game where you can screw her or let others. It depends on what your target audience is. Thank you for replying by the way.
I loved the fact that he made me cringe. To me, it felt like he was a representation of the player in a time when male protagonists did the same thing while still being a goody two shoes. It made me laugh at myself for being just like him, Rance.

Lol thanks but already played. Short little game but still good. It'd be great if all nerorare games have a way to prevent the protagonist from getting netorared like that one instead of going full hardcore masochistic cuck with no way to fight back or prevent it from happening.

Hmm... I'm not sure. Maybe if you count visual novels and those unfinished patreon 3d western games as well then that could be the case. I mainly looking for 2d completed games, preferably rpgs and most of what i saw is female protag. Its the same thing when i tried searching on dlsite. Even on the f95 translation request, the popular request are almost always with female protag, ocasionally when there was a male ones he would be either a little kid or a cuck who got netorared or both...and more lul.

Yeah in hentai rpgs or 2d sidescrollers is mostly female protag for sure when you start looking at all the japanese indie games. IMO it's mostly because game over rape is the easiest way to add sexual content to those and seeing a girl get raped has a bigger target audience then guy/shota. Also on the flip side, you need gameplay in first place too if you're going for the game over rape trope. So anyone wanting to make a game over rape game is gonna make their game an rpg or a sidescroller, and will most likely feature a female protag for the same reason mentioned before.
If it's literally anything else it can be done in visual novel format so unless you're planning on making one hell of a high budget game (like eushully or alice soft games) you're unfortunately wasting resources by giving it gameplay.
I'm pretty confident this is why male protag is more common in visual novels yet female protag is more common in indie rpgs and sidescrollers.
