I got a very strange error - on the third day after I loaded the game from the last save (v.2.0). I go into the store with Einor and I just can't get out of it. Instead of Einor, I am greeted there by a brewer. Looks like a softlock. Looks like there are compatibility issues with previous saves after all. Going through the wood chopping again is not inspiring at all (if you start the game from scratch).

I did not test with previous saves, damn. Can you send it my way on Discord?

i think if some of the patrons at the bar had personalities, it would make their interactions with the girls more interesting.

That's the plan with guests (custom sprites).

I feel like cutting trees down is the only way to make good money and even then, the tax collector takes around 80% of what you make from that. dev, please either lower the amount he takes or make it so he collects every 14 days instead because otherwise, it feels like a grind that gets us nothing in return and I wanna see this game succeed

Edit: after about 2 hours of grinding, I'm forced to take out a loan only to have to pay 350 for taxes and be short on a loan I didn't want to take out and get killed for it resulting in needing to start a new game. dev, I hate to say this but your game is going to fail

I'll be making a balance pass this week and I'll take it into account.

Howdy Version 0.2.1 is out!

Say hello to the biggest update yet! A ton of new sprites, dark elf event, whole new job for girls with multiple pics and a way to win the game. We're getting bigger!

The main highlight is the request system - finally a way to receive endgame currency - Fame. When you upgrade inn rooms, guests will start to arrive. Satisfy their needs with one of the girls and grab sweet xp, gold and fame loot.

As with all new systems expect a lot of balance tweaks - in the next update i want to focus on expanding perks, requests and adding interactive objects to the world.

1. early stage money making - this remains out of balance, I myself always cheat as the effect noted here that it's really grindy-difficult to not fall into unpayable loan and game-over.
2. late stage once one gets the girls active, at this point at least in prior editions (have not tried latest version) one starts to have run-away cash that's almost ridiculous.

From that I would say that tweaking to make earlier stage more flexible (either reduce grind to make for better money or adjust the debt approach so it is not game over but an alternative path and there is a way to dig out - rather than game over [or some combination - having game over seems short-sighted as the debt path could be an interesting alternative story route])

Second, maybe the tax should scale differently and be more percentage oriented so that it is less pressuring early on but also remains meaningful point as one starts to make serious money

Apparently there are Latin letters in it, can't find them either.. but the answer is: saffron

i cant assign any girl to a guest even if she has all the the requirements. it always says "only depraved girls can fulfill requests", even if she has depravity over 100.

EDIT: nevermind, you have to get the relationship maxed and only then she gets the status "depreaved"

I was 1500 gold in debt and had to pay 200 in taxes. Succesfully accumulated 2000+ gold from pure grind... and got a game over.

Am I ever so slightly peeved, given how ridiculously BORING this grind is? Yes. I think I am.

You need to pay the debt to the Grul guy in the city. Maybe I should switch it so it does pay automatically if you have the money.
