At daz3D, the last day of March Madness with some interesting deals for daz+ members.

10% off everything (including gift cards) (not exceptional, but better than nothing and no buy-in)

60% off DO (instead of 30%) (except new items). This is interesting for assets that are already largely discounted. For instance, if you purchase at least 2 DO items in the mad PA stores, you can get (50%+60%+10%) that is 82% off (and up to 87% off if the assets are old enough).

And, of course, if you have some "tokens", you can add an extra discount up to 40% off.

At renderosity, some stores (fefecoolyellow, Cybertenko, Lexakiness, Sunfire, Nemesis74s) at 40%/60%prime off only today.

Previously, at rendo, the standard sales were at 50% off, the good ones 60% off and the excellent 70% off. And the prime monthly 20%off coupon that is generally valid for all sales except the prime only ones could be stacked on top of these discounts. But in the recent days, standard sales seemed to be only 40% off (which never happened before) and today 60%off for prime members excludes coupons. I hope that this is not a long term tendency, as it would more or less mean a de facto increase of ~20% of all the renderosity prices.

I'm just annoyed that the Daz3D.com sales team has found even more ways to penalize customers that can't afford to shop every day. I 'missed' one of the freebie days for the easter egg thing, so I'm guessing I'm out two freebies now.

I haven't been playing the 'token' game as shopping every day just to earn tokens is annoying, and I don't have $70+ a week that I can spend on Daz stuff to maximize my tokens or whatever.

Yet up to now I had been a pretty regular shopper, but knowing that I can't afford the token game just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I keep hoping that they will move on, but it looks like the tokens might actually stick around for a while...

I just hope that they don't fuck with the June PC+ sale...

Completely agree. I really hope that they will drop this token things as soon as the "March" madness is over (as it started mid-February and that we are mid April, maybe we can hope that March will end in May?).

The problem is that you can get insane discounts by combining tokens with more standard rebates, but it is a fantastic excuse for the daz stuff to offer only poor reductions (and besides the token thing, March Madness discounts are rather meh...). This is of course excellent in terms of sales for daz and I really fear that it will continue as a standard thing.

But if the only way to get good discounts is purchase every week $80 (to get the tokens) and more (to use the tokens), people that cant afford spending $500+ on a monthly basis are out of the game.
